Martin Kemp hasn’t done a proper Bushtucker Trial yet on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here, and some people have been wondering why.

With only seven contestants remaining, and the series finale approaching, it hasn’t gone unnoticed that the Spandau Ballet star hasn’t been leaving camp to win stars.

Earlier in the series, he participated in group trials, but he’s yet to do a solo one. His son, TV personality Roman Kemp, even piped up on X, poking fun at his Dad’s lack of participation.

Now, since leaving the jungle, Vogue Williams has revealed that there might be a reason Martin, 64, isn’t doing them.

In a Q&A on her Instagram page, she talked about the 64-year-old not doing Bushtucker Trials.

While answering questions about her time in the jungle, Vogue said: ‘Martin did want to do the trials, but Martin was exempt from some.

‘And I think everyone wanted to do the trials, which was probably unusual for a year [on the show].

‘So I think that because Martin’s a bit quieter, he was happy to let everyone else go ahead.’

She went on: ‘Martin’s sound, he’s such a nice guy, he’s really, really lovely.’

Martin was left with epilepsy, which he controls with medication, after undergoing surgery to remove two brain tumours discovered by doctors when he was 34.

What have people said on social media?

Vogue’s comments came after viewers expressed their desire to see the actor getting his hands dirty.

@WingsAreHistory wrote: ‘I’m not mad that Jack is doing it but Martin still has not done a solo trial so he would have been the better choice.’

@ruinlydia agreed: ‘Surely Martin does a trial soon, where has he been?’

In last night’s episode, Jack Osbourne did the trial and brought back seven stars for camp.

@LeiwsJohnY2 joked: ‘The camp sending Jack to do the trial cause he hasn’t been out for a couple days, meanwhile Martin Kemp hasn’t left his bed for three weeks…’

After joking about his Dad not doing one, Roman Kemp said on X: ‘Can tell you now my dad wants to do trial but just how he is, if it’ll make someone happy he’d rather that.

‘Can’t even make a joke out of it, it’s the truth.’

Viewers will be able to breathe a sigh of relief after tonight’s episode, asMartin will be completing a Bushtucker Trial, alongside Tom Read-Wilson.

They’ll be participating in a trial called Lethal Libraries, attempting to find seven hidden books while battling with the snakes and creepy crawlies along the way.

Martin was the bookies’ favourite to leave last night, with Betfred putting his odds of being eliminated at 1/2.

Instead, the comedian and fan favourite, 72-year-old Ruby Wax, crossed the wooden bridge and headed back to civilisation.
