Pompeo and Ivery share three children, two of whom were present at the April 29 ceremony immortalizing their mother’s place in TV history. Daughters Stella Luna and Sienna May are 15 and 10, and son Eli Christopher is 8. Stella and Eli attended were photographed at the event with their parents.

An April 2025 Deadline report quotes Pompeo as saying completely severing ties with the show “would make no sense, emotionally or financially,” because “it was streamed more than a billion times” in 2024.
âIf I were to walk away completely, everybody gets to make money from my hard work for 20 years and I wouldnât make any money,” she explained, before adding she knows her importance to fans and wants to “keep an attitude of gratitude” towards the show.

Tina Knowles took to her Instagram account to congratulate Pompeo on the milestone career achievement. The “Matriarch” author shared a photo of the actress posing on the red carpet with her freshly laid star tile and accompanied the post with a sweet caption.
“Congratulations,” Knowles began, before calling Pompeo’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame “long overdue.” She continued, “21 seasons with the show that has your character’s namesake in the title of the show. Yes, that says a lot!” She finished her message by calling Pompeo “the kindest, most emotionally intelligent, and self-aware person.”
Pompeo previously gushed over an Ivy Park PR package Beyoncé sent her in November 2020. “Thank you @beyonce for helping me show my kids who runs this Mutha,” Pompeo captioned an Instagram snap of her three children admiring the activewear.
