Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart, who have been together since 2003, have two children – Billie Beatrice Dane and Georgia Geraldine Dane. And when his daughters accompanied him to the premiere of “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” on May 30, 2024, in Hollywood, California, Billie proved to be the spitting image of her mother.
It was like looking in a mirror!
Dane and Gayheart first met in 2003 and married the following year. In 2009, they announced they were expecting their first child, Billie, who was born on March 3, 2010. In July 2011, Dane and Gayheart announced that they were expecting their second child, and on December 28, 2011, Georgia was born.
That completed their family.
In 2018, Gayheart filed for divorce from Dane, citing irreconcilable differences. However, in March 2025, Gayheart requested to dismiss her divorce from Dane.
Eric Dane Announces ALS Diagnosis
On April 10, Dane revealed to People that he has been diagnosed with Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
“I have been diagnosed with ALS,â Dane said. âI am grateful to have my loving family by my side as we navigate this next chapter.âÂ
âI feel fortunate that I am able to continue working and am looking forward to returning to set of Euphoria next week,â he added. âI kindly ask that you give my family and I privacy during this time
Rebecca Gayheart Opened Up About Her Marriage One Day Before Eric Dane’s ALS Diagnosis Announcement
Speaking with E! News on April 9 at the screening of the miniseries The Carters: Hurts To Love You, Gayheart opened up about her marriage after dismissing her divorce the month prior.
“We are best of friends. We are really close. We are great coparents,” Gayheart said. “We really figured out the formula to staying a family and I think our kids are benefiting greatly from it and we are as well.”
“I think itâs important to not look at a relationship that ends as a failure. It’s just a season. It wasn’t a failure. It was a huge success,” she continued. “We were married for, I mean, we are still married, but together for 15 years and we had two beautiful kids so I think that’s a successful relationship, and that’s how we look at it.”
These comments came just a day before Dane told to People that he has been diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
