Ava has been dating Dakota Brubaker since at least December 2024. On June 10, they posted a video of themselves taking part in the Ke$ha TikTok trend. The comment section was filled with remarks about them looking like Witherspoon and Phillippe.
âThought it was her dad for a split second lol,â a fan reacted. âIdk how but you look exactly like your dad and exactly like your mom at the same time!â another person shared.
Ava noticed one comment in particular and reacted to it. The comment was: âClose enough. Welcome back Reese & Ryan!â The couple decided to dedicate an entire TikTok video to this comment by shaking their heads in disagreement. They posted the short clip to TikTok on June 11, and in the caption, Ava wrote, âYou guys⦠whaaaaattt.â
What made the video even cooler was the fact that Ava chose the track “Bitter Sweet Symphony” by The Verve. The track features in the 1999 thriller film “Cruel Intentions,” which stars Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon.
Fans reacted to the post with excitement, but not everyone thinks Brubaker is Philippe’s twin. “OMGGG!! I see it!!! Like literal Reese and Ryan,” a comment reads. “He looks nothing like Ryan,” another person shared. “Your parents are iconic!! Own it!” a fan wrote.

Ava must know she looks exactly like her mom, and Witherspoon has addressed this before. “Well, I love being mistaken for her because it makes me feel so young. I’m so proud of her,â Witherspoon said during an interview with Gayle King for InStyle in November 2021. âShe really rolls with it. I’m sure it’s not easy looking exactly like your mother.”
Witherspoon also acknowledged that sometimes her daughter gets âfrustratedâ by their similarities, and she contacts Zoë Kravitz because she and her mama, Lisa Bonet, look alike. âI mean, that’s another mother-daughter combo that’s like identical twins,â the âBig Little Liesâ actress said.
