Rob and Michele Reiner’s love story is an incredible one.
Neda Soderqvist, who is a celebrity fitness trainer who has known the family for 15 years, spoke with PEOPLE about how hard it has been to lose her close friends.
She told the outlet that losing the two âwas probably the worst experience I’ve ever encountered because I don’t think I’ve ever felt that [kind of] loss,” adding that “the feeling was unimaginable.”
It was her husband who told her the sad news.
âI just … I plopped down and I think I might’ve said, âNo,ââ she explained. âThat’s all I kept saying â âNo, no, no, no.ââ
Neda Soderqvist Keeps Reminding Herself That Rob and Michele Are Holding Hands Forever
While Soderqvist is having a hard time wrapping her head around this loss, she revealed to PEOPLE what’s helping her get through it.
âThe one thing that is getting me through this, honestly, is I can tell you that if one of them went, the other one would have left a few weeks after from a broken heart because they are inseparable,â she told the outlet.
âOne of the things that I tell God and I feel okay in my heart is that they’re together. That’s the only thing that can get you past this, is that Rob and Michele are holding hands forever,â Soderqvist added. âEven at the end of their life, they left together ⦠It soothes my heart.â
The love they shared was clear every time they were together.
âThey were exactly as if they had just met,â she says. âEvery time they left my studio, they held hands.â
And for Rob, he made sure everybody knew how much he loved his wife.
âThe love that that man had for her, oh my Lord,” Soderqvist added. “I mean. Everyone should have something like that in their lives. And so they were inseparable. They went everywhere together, everywhere.â

Following the news of their passing, Soderqvist posted a photo with the couple on her Instagram page and included a sweet tribute.

They’ve been there for my family through thick and thin. Michele and I were inseparable 5 days a week for 15 years. We brought out the best in each other. Not many know her heart, but I do. Rob and Michele have touched countless lives with their kindness. Any time the kids and I stayed at their Malibu home, they treated us like royalty and showed immense respect to everyone around them. I will miss my Michele. I promise to share more stories. â¤ï¸ I know Michele! She would never want me to tell you all the QUIET ACTS OF KINDNESS sheâs done. But I want the world to know Michele Reiner. Rob was a big teddy bear. Never forgot our birthdays.
