
Some friendships defy age, time, and even the realities of Hollywood. On Monday, August 18, Drew Barrymore gave fans a sweet glimpse of her bond with Adam Sandler.
The actress, who has starred in films like “The Wedding Singer” (1998), “50 First Dates” (2004) & “Blended” (2014) alongside Sandler, shared a throwback moment with the actor on Instagram.

Barrymore has long been open about her relationship with Sandler, describing him as one of her closest friends. “We’re so close. We text all the time. We see each other. We text,” the Drew Barrymore Show host told Entertainment Tonight.
Their off-screen friendship has translated into on-screen magic across multiple films. Barrymore reflected, âOur bond is all based in love, admiration and humor.â
Dreams of Teaming Up With Sandler & Aniston
Barrymore also revealed she hopes to create a new project with Sandler and their mutual friend Jennifer Aniston.
“I’m so busy talking to him and Jennifer Aniston about doing a threefer, if you will,” she said. “I really want to make it happen. Timing is everything.”
She even has a few ideas in mind. “I keep pitching Death Becomes Her. We’ve talked about Three’s Company. Maybe it’s something original. I don’t know. There’s lots of fun ideas,” she added. “We’re all producers, so we all have companies. We can make this happen. I think it’s a matter of timing.”
Barrymore previously worked with Aniston in “He’s Just Not That Into You” (2009), while Aniston and Sandler teamed up for “Just Go With It” (2011), “Murder Mystery” (2019) & “Murder Mystery 2” (2023).
