Angel Reese is spreading her wings — literally. The WNBA star is officially becoming the first professional athlete to walk the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show runway when it airs live on Oct. 15.

The Chicago Sky forward told People she “could not stop smiling” after learning she’d join the show’s lineup of Angels, calling it a “surreal and full-circle moment.” Just last year, Reese sat in the audience manifesting this exact opportunity. “I was completely inspired and in awe of all the powerful women walking down the runway,” she said. “Now I get to return as an Angel. This will be an unforgettable night that I’ll forever be grateful for.”

Reese confirmed the news on Instagram, sharing photos of herself in Victoria’s Secret wings and robe, writing, “Stepping into a dream: From Angel to a Victoria’s Secret ANGEL. I’m finally getting my wings. I’ll be walking the Victoria’s Secret 2025 runway show for the first time, and it feels like destiny.” Fans flooded her comments with support, with one writing, “An Angel got her wings,” and another adding, “Yes! You were created for this, Angel Barbie.” The brand’s official account also shared a clip of Reese preparing for her debut with the caption, “Angel Reese, welcome to the runway. The first professional athlete Angel… major is an understatement.”

Reese will appear alongside Adriana Lima, Anok Yai, and Lily Aldridge, with musical performances by Missy Elliott, Karol G, Madison Beer, and TWICE. “It’s such an honor to be part of this powerful moment that celebrates women and how multifaceted we are,” she said. “I know the energy and excitement will be unmatched — I’m ready for it.”

Reese’s Victoria’s Secret debut marks another milestone in her fast-growing fashion career. In addition to attending the Met Gala twice, the 23-year-old has launched several major collaborations, including her signature Reebok sneakers, a Good American denim partnership, and her self-designed AR Angel Energy apparel line available at theangelreese.com.

According to reports, she recently became the Global Ambassador and Creative Collaborator for Juicy Couture, co-designing a limited-edition collection titled “Angel Couture.” The line features Juicy’s signature velour tracksuits in pink, blue, and black, along with cropped tees and fleece sets. “I grew up loving the brand,” Reese told Women’s Wear Daily. “With Angel Couture, I wanted to bring that same energy forward with pieces that are fearless, fun, and make you feel unstoppable.”
