<p id=”par-1_68″><em>Ghosts</em> might be one of CBS’s most beloved sitcoms at the moment, but that doesn’t mean it is immune to being bumped off the schedule for <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/macys-thanksgiving-day-parade-through-years-photos.html/”>special broadcasts and holiday events.</a> The series, now in its fifth season, has a bit of a reputation for taking breaks to <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/march-madness-sidelines-cbs-ghosts-when-will-it-return.html/”>accommodate other important events</a>. This year is no different. Fans won’t be getting a new <em>Ghosts </em>episode on November 27.</p>

<p id=”par-2_41″>While <em>Ghosts</em> is known for embracing the holiday season with special episodes, especially those around spooky season, Thanksgiving Day won’t include a new episode. The network will skip a new episode of the series on November 27 to accommodate holiday content.</p>

<p id=”par-3_87″>The series will return on December 4 with a new episode, though. Season 5 of the series premiered on October 16. While we know that 22 episodes are expected to round out the latest season, a finale date has not yet been announced. The show will also be back next year for a sixth season. The announcement was made back in February when CBS renewed the series for two seasons. Fans who want to link up with <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/ghosts-how-each-ghost-died.html/”>Jay, Sam, and the spirits </a>can stream episodes on Paramount+.</p>
<h2 class=”wp-block-heading” id=”h-what-will-air-instead”>What will air instead?</h2>
<p id=”par-4_64″>Not only will <em>Ghost</em> fans not get a new episode come November 27, but they won’t get to check out a rerun, either. In its place, CBS will be airing a special Thanksgiving NFL game, followed by a college basketball game. In the timeslot traditionally reserved for <em>Ghosts,</em> the network will air the Duke vs. Arkansas NCAA game. Tipoff is expected at 8 pm.</p>

<p id=”par-5_83″>Before the network switches to collegiate sports, it will air an NFL game. <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/taylor-swift-hated-watching-travis-kelce-play-1-nfl-team.html/”>The Kansas City Chiefs </a>will take on the Dallas Cowboys in a traditional Thanksgiving matchup at 4:30 pm. It is the second of three games airing during the beloved Holiday. The evening game, featuring the Cincinnati Bengals vs. the Baltimore Ravens, will air on NBC at 8:20 pm. An early-afternoon game is set to air on FOX. Afternoon spectators will watch the Green Bay Packers take on the Detroit Lions.</p>
