Giant star Jamie Bigg has reportedly broken up with his girlfriend, who was at the centre of his exit from BBC series Gladiators.
The fan-favourite BBC star confirmed he was leaving the popular reboot in April, and shortly after, he claimed his unwilling departure was due to the fact that his girlfriend, Taylor Ryan, 25, was an OnlyFans creator.
At the time, he revealed: ‘I made it clear that I was planning to go public with my relationship, including the fact that my partner works as an OnlyFans creator, and shortly after that, I was told I wouldn’t be continuing on Gladiators.
‘It wasn’t something I expected, especially given the commitment I’ve shown to the role.’
Now, it appears the career-shaking romance has come to an end, with Jamie, 40, now gallivanting around Spain by himself, trying to figure himself out.
An insider told the Daily Mail: ‘They haven’t ruled out getting back together in the future, but Jamie knows he needs to work on himself right now.’
Although Jamie himself hasn’t explicitly addressed it, he did share a crypticInstagram post on Tuesday, telling fans: ‘Lately, I’ve spent a lot of time reflecting. Not on what I’ve achieved, but on who I want to become.
‘Right now, I’m doing what I find the hardest… I’m taking the time I need to work on myself.
‘I’m spending time in my own busy brain trying to unpack and make sense of all the thoughts. I’m rebuilding routines, strengthening my mindset, improving my health, and gaining clarity on the man I want to be.’
When he first left Gladiators, he told Metro he hadn’t expected the BBC to take the stance they did.
‘I made it clear that I was planning to go public with my relationship, including the fact that my partner works as an OnlyFans creator, and shortly after that, I was told I wouldn’t be continuing on Gladiators.
‘It wasn’t something I expected, especially given the commitment I’ve shown to the role,’ he said.
Later adding: ‘I’ve always taken being in the public eye seriously, and I believe being a role model is about honesty as well as professionalism.
‘For me, that means not hiding parts of who I am or the people I care about.’
In a show of solidarity, the pair even put on a united front by appearing on Good Morning Britain together.
Despite the highs and lows of recent months, Jamie recently made clear he is keen to stay in the world of TV if possible.
He told The Sun: ‘TV is something that I would very much like to continue.
‘Having the flexibility and the ability to speak about more taboo subjects is something that moving forward, perhaps, can now happen.’
The bodybuilder wasn’t able to shed light on any actual projects he has going on right now, but he added: ‘There are a lot of things in the pipeline at the minute.
‘It’s actually a very, very exciting time and I’m definitely looking forward to the future. I can’t divulge any information on particular shows or events, situations just yet.’
Metro has reached out to Jamie Bigg for comment.
