The line-up for another Glastonbury stage has been announced with a performance set from an 80s icon.

Confirmed headliners for the festival this year include The 1975, Neil Young, and Olivia Rodrigo, while Charli XCX, Doechii, Kaiser Chiefs, The Libertines, and Fatboy Slim will all be taking to the festival’s stages as well.

Organisers have revealed the line-up for the beloved Park Stage, with Anohni And The Johnsons, Caribou, and The Maccabees set to headline.

Elsewhere on the weekend, Cars hitmaker Gary Numan is set to perform alongside the likes of Self Esteem, Beth Gibbons, and Future Islands.

The musician, 67, is regarded as one of the pioneers of electronic music, pioneering his own unique sound that has earned him an Ivor Novello Award and an Inspiration Award from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers, and Authors.

He has released a string of hit singles, including Cars and Are ‘Friends’ Electric?, which both reached number one in the UK.

It marks the first time the music legend has ever played Glastonbury, despite his career spanning six decades.

Numan will play two warm-up shows ahead of his Glastonbury performance, with intimate shows in Brighton and Frome.

The Stonebridge venue will play host to Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard, BBC newsreader Ros Atkins, Confidence Man, and a tribute to the late DJ Randall.

Bimble Inn will feature a performance from Blur’s Alex James, who will treat attendees to a ‘Britpop classical DJ set.’

Sharing the announcement, organisers wrote: ‘Gazing down across the Festival site from the heady heights of the hill top, The Park returns in 2025 with another line-up of spectacular acts to inspire wonder and ignite delight!

‘This ever-vibrant home of eclectic fabulousness offers a host of venues bent on robbing your every inhibition, and filling your mind – and every synapse – with bacchian wonder.’

And there’s still more announcements to come, with BBC Radio star Lauren Laverne has teased US trio Haim could be making their way to Glastonbury Festival 2025 for a secret performance.

‘They’ve got summer shows coming up, one is Dreamland Summer Series in Margate on June 27,’ Lauren noted on BBC6 Music yesterday, before adding: ‘What else is happening that weekend? It’s a long way to come to go to Margate, not that Margate isn’t great…’
