Goldie Hawn is not a celebrity who turns it off. The 80-year-old actress is just as ebullient on and off screen, and her red-carpet appearances over the decades are full of personality.
Whether she’s running into an old friend or cuddling up with her blended family with longtime love Kurt Russell, the “Overboard” star can’t contain her excitement.
Reuniting With With Diane Keaton on the Red Carpet
Hawn reunited with her “First Wives Club” co-star Diane Keaton nearly a decade after the film’s release at the Golden Globes, and the actresses were beaming.
In 2025, she shared a heartbreaking tribute to her late friend on Instagram, writing, “Youâve left us with a trail of fairy dust, filled with particles of light and memories beyond imagination.”
“We agreed to grow old together, and one day, maybe live together with all our girlfriends. Well, we never got to live together, but we did grow older together,” Hawn continued. “Who knows⦠maybe in the next life.
Kurt Russell Goes in For the Kiss
Hawn and her partner of over four decades, Kurt Russell, aren’t afraid of a little PDA on the red carpet. Russell gave the actress a kiss on the red carpet at the Academy Awards in 2014 when Hawn served as a presenter for the evening.
Despite being one of Hollywood’s most long-lasting couples, the pair never married, and the “Death Becomes Her” actress sees that as one of the secrets to their success.
âWhen I say freedom, it means liberation. I don’t feel penned in,â Hawn told People in April 2026. âWe don’t always agree on stuff, which is fine. We’re both very spontaneous. [Our relationship] fed on a lot of goodness, a lot of wonderful life together.â
Posing With Kate
Daughter Kate Hudson followed in her mom’s Hollywood footsteps, and Hawn is always willing to support her daughter’s latest project. In 2022, she joined Hudson for the premiere of “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery,” and posed like she was already in the theater with the movie’s twists and turns unfolding before her eyes.
Hawn recently told Kelly Clarkson she knew early on that the “How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days” actress was destined for stardom when the future Oscar-nominee turned it on for the camera as a kid. âKate was always going to be something,” said Hawn. “There was no doubt about it.âÂ
Goldie, Kurt, and a Horse?
Hawn seems to get along just fine with Russell’s “Dreamer” co-star, Benny the horse. The film, which also starred a young Dakota Fanning, was based on a true story about an injured racehorse, a trainer, and a complicated father-daughter relationship.
A Family Affair
Hawn is typically the most excited person in a photo, and this family photo is no exception. She posed with son Hudson, daughter-in-law Erinn Hudson, and grandkids Wilder, Bodhi, Rio, and Laura at the “Happy Gilmore 2” premiere in July 2025. The family showed up to support Hudson, who had a role in the sequel.
Russell and Hawn have eight grandchildren altogether, and there’s a good chance we’ll see some of them go into the family business. “All of our grandchildren are entertainers,” she told People. “There is no doubt about it. We’ve got amazing grandchildren.”
Hawn Shares a Sweet Moment With a Young Fan
Between catching up with famous friends on the red carpet, Hawn also takes the time for her fans. In this photo, she bends down to speak to a girl on the red carpet of the 2017 Golden Globes. Hawn attended the ceremony to present an award with her “Snatched” co-star Amy Schumer.
Catching Up With Rita Wilson
Hawn and Russell say hello to longtime friend Rita Wilson in 2002 at an event honoring Wilson’s husband, Tom Hanks. While Russell is all smiles, Hawn (fittingly in rose-colored glasses) is exhilarated, and Wilson looks as if she’s just received some good gossip. Whatever the trio spoke of that night, it seems a good time was had by all.
