Gordon Ramsay told his new son-in-law, Adam Peaty, that his wife is prepared to be a ‘good mum’ to him, after falling out with his family.

Adam, 30, married Holly Ramsay, 25 – the daughter of Gordon Ramsay this weekend in a ceremony at Bath Abbey, but the lead-up to their big day was anything but blissful.

Instead, it was marred by drama, with Adam’s mother reportedly banned from attending the ceremony, while Holly’s childhood pal Brooklyn Beckham also gave it a swerve.

It has now been reported that Gordon made reference to Adam’s absent parents in a speech on the day.

The Sun reported Gordon said his wife, Tana, ‘will be a good mum to them both’.

The 59-year-old TV chef then added that Holly looked beautiful and Adam was a ‘lucky man’, referencing his wife again as he said: ‘Look at Tana and that’s what you have to look forward to.’

He then made another dig at Adam’s parents as he told Holly: ‘Shame you don’t have the same.’

The chef shared a message to the new couple on social media.

‘I’m truly so lucky being able to walk this beautiful bride down the aisle and gaining an incredible son in law Adam Peaty!’ he wrote in a message on Instagram alongside photos of him with his daughter.

‘I love you so much Holly Ramsay and couldn’t be a prouder Dad xxx,’ he added.

Adam’s mother was allegedly ‘banned’ from her son’s wedding.

The rift between Adam and Caroline, has reportedly spilled over from Holly’s hen do, from which she was also absent.

According to the Daily Mail, Adam’s mother, Caroline, was ‘beside herself’ after missing her son’s special day, telling the publication: ‘I’m not going to be hurt like this again’.

She added that she felt as if Holly and Adam ‘have cut my heart out’.

It was also claimed that Adam’s aunt, Louise, who was reportedly not invited to the wedding, told the sportsman over text: ‘I hope you never suffer the depth of pain you have put your mother through and despite it all she loves you still. Shame on you both. Shame.

Remember on this, your happiest day, and on each anniversary of your happiest day, that you hurt your mum so deeply her soul screams.’

Since tying the knot over the weekend, Adam has changed his Instagram handle to Adam Ramsay Peaty, suggesting he has taken his new wife’s surname.
