Jessica Chastain stunned at the 12th annual Breakthrough Prize ceremony on Saturday, April 18, in Los Angeles. And with that, the actress showed off a dramatic hair transformation.
Wearing a gorgeous strapless Oscar de la Renta gown, Chastain paired the look with a beautiful new bob haircut that stopped just above her chin.

Chastain showed a before-and-after shot of her hair, sharing a video on Instagram with the simple caption, “Choppity chop.” In it, her hairstylist, Renato Campora, was featured.

Jessica Chastain Provides Update On Her New Apple TV Series
Chastain’s political thriller series “The Savant” was set to premiere on Apple TV in September 2025, but was postponed following the tragic passing of Charlie Kirk.
âBefore it was like, âI donât know if weâre going to see it,â but now I can say, âWeâre going to see it,â Chastain told Variety at the Breakthrough Prize ceremony in Santa Monica.
The outlet adds that the show is planning for a July release.
When the show was first postponed, Chastain shared a statement on social media, voicing that she did not agree with the streaming service’s decision to postpone the release.
“Iâve never shied away from difficult subjects, and while I wish this show wasnât so relevant, unfortunately, it is,” she wrote. “The Savant is about the heroes who work every day to stop violence before it happens, and honoring their courage feels more urgent than ever. While I respect Appleâs decision to pause the release for now, I remain hopeful the show will reach audiences soon.”
In the show, Chastain stars as an undercover investigator who aims to infiltrate internet hate organizations and bring them down.
