The TV Bafta Awards 2025 are in full swing, with broadcasting legend Graham Norton sparking concern with his appearance on the carpet.
Graham, 62, was as smiley as ever as he posed for photographers, but there was one accessory to his outfit that no one expected to see.
The Irish talk show icon sported an all-black tux with a quirky collar but also wore his left arm in a black mesh sling.
It’s currently unknown what happened or whether Graham has suffered a nasty injury, as he hasn’t commented publicly.
However, thankfully, he’s not letting a little sling dampen his spirits, flashing his famous pearly whites for this year’s Baftas, where The Graham Norton Show has been recognised in the entertainment performance category.
Graham has stiff competition, though, with Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway also in the running, as well as The Traitors with Claudia Winkleman.
Speaking of Ant and Dec, the Geordie duo were their usual dapper selves in black tuxedos tonight, while Claudia opted for all black too, of course adding her signature dark eye makeup.
Elsewhere, the likes of James Corden and Ruth Jones led high-profile arrivals, having been nominated for the emotional finale of Gavin and Stacey, which aired on Christmas Day.
James and Ruth proved their friendship is still going strong long after wrapping filming as their characters Smithy and Nessa, standing beside one another, James in a tux and Ruth in a satin blue gown.
Meanwhile, Adolescence child star Owen Cooper walked his first major carpet after rising to fame as 13-year-old Jamie in the Netflix four-parter.
Tipped for a bright future, he had co-actress Erin Doherty by his side for support.
Doctor Who legend and all-round good egg David Tennant put in a vibrant appearance in a quirky suit alongside his wife, Georgia, having hosted the film edition of the Baftas in February.
Mr Bates Vs The Post Office and Baby Reindeer are the two shows in the running for top trophies tonight.
The other nominees in the limited drama category are romance series One Day, an adaptation of the best-selling novel by David Nicholls, and BBC adoption drama Lost Boys and Fairies.
Black comedy stalking drama Baby Reindeer, created by Scottish comedian Richard Gadd, has already won a slew of awards, including the best limited series Emmy, while Mr Bates Vs The Post Office stormed the 2025 NTAs.
Elsewhere, Disney+ drama Rivals, which is adapted from a novel by Dame Jilly Cooper, has six nominations and a memorable moment nod, while Apple TV+ spy series Slow Horses, starring Oscar winner Gary Oldman, also has six nods.
Actress Billie Piper is nominated for Netflix’s Scoop, which sees her play former Newsnight producer Sam McAlister, who secured the infamous Newsnight interview with the Duke of York.
She will compete in the leading actress category against Marisa Abela for banking drama Industry, Anna Maxwell Martin for her role in ITV’s Until I Kill You, which told the true story of Delia Balmer, who survived a near-fatal relationship with murderer John Sweeney (Shaun Evans), and Monica Dolan, who played subpostmistress Jo Hamilton in the ITV drama about the scandal.
As for the actor category, former Time Lord David has been nominated for his role in Rivals and will battle it out against the likes of Lennie James for Mr Loverman and Martin Freeman for The Responder.
Tonight’s ceremony is being presented by Scottish actor Alan Cumming at London’s Royal Festival Hall and will air on BBC One tonight from 7pm.
