GTA 5 fan loses 18-hour no death run in the most unnecessary way possible

It can all change at the blink of an eye (Twitch)

Twitch streamer Crayator wasted 18 hours of his life, as his GTA 5 run came to a crushing end, but 14 hours later he went back and did it again – this time with a different outcome.

Despite being released 11 years ago, GTA 5, and the ever-evolving multiplayer mode GTA Online, is still being played by millions of fans worldwide.

It’s not just a very good game, but a beloved franchise, with huge communities keeping role-playing servers going and streamers who play it with various ridiculous mods attached, like increasing the traffic speed by 999%.

One popular GTA 5 streamer was trying to play through the story campaign without dying when the inevitable happened: he couldn’t resist the urge to drive off a rooftop ramp.

18 hours into his no death run, streamer Crayator, who has just under 800,000 followers on Twitch, was driving up a multi-storey car park, when he found a very inviting ramp on the top floor.

Without saying anything, he decided to go for the jump, and although everything seemed fine at first he ended up crashing into a skyscraper and smashed onto the ground.

That meant his 18-hour run was over, as his character died and his mission along with it.

It took a moment for Crayator to react, but he eventually put his hands to his head in disbelief.

’18 hours of my life wasted. That is crazy. I’m actually upset. Oh my god, that’s sucks,’ he said.

Crayator explained himself to his fans, saying that he thought the ramp was safe to drive off and it was a shortcut in his current mission of collecting cars.

Not being a quitter, Crayator started over again and 14 hours later he was at the same car park, at the same jump, egged on by fans to try the jump again.

After some back and forth he obliged and went at it again with a lot more speed this time. He cleared the building below, but crashed into a palm tree this time, but somehow survived.

Screaming in joy, Crayator and his fans rejoiced, as he was able to continue the run after the risky stunt.

Judging by how the wait for GTA 6 is making fans go a little bit crazy on social media, with all kinds of pointless observations and remakes of the trailer, it’s fair to assume that we’ll see a lot of funny playthroughs when it finally drops in autumn 2025.
