Harper Beckham is only 14, but her transition into businesswoman is inching closer.

The youngest child of David and Victoria Beckham is now following in her mother’s footsteps into the beauty industry, and she couldn’t be more well-equipped.

The teenager is set to launch a skincare brand, rumoured to be named HIKU by Harper, but her inspiration hasn’t come from either of her famous parents.

Victoria, 52, revealed this week that her daughter was struggling after a ‘really bad’ battle with acne, something which has left her eager to get her foot in the door of the highly lucrative skincare industry.

And while Harper obviously benefits from the power of her surname, she is hungrier than ever to prove herself as an up-and-coming businesswoman despite her young age.

A source told Metro: ‘Harper has watched her mum’s success from afar for years – she couldn’t have a better role model in business.

‘Victoria will give her all of the tips and tricks she needs for success, and obviously anything with “Beckham” on the label is a guaranteed win with the public.’

Harper will be in good company within the industry alongside the likes of Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown, who launched her hugely successful skincare brand Florence by Mills when she was just 15, as well as Kylie Jenner, who launched Kylie Cosmetics at 18.

Mother-of-four Victoria said of her business-savvy daughter: ‘I’m so proud of all my children, but you know Harper is very ambitious, she’s very appropriate but I don’t know what I expected to be honest.

‘I mean, she’s been sitting on my lap taking part in beauty development meetings ever since she was little.’

This week Victoria revealed how Harper’s struggle with her skin three years ago ignited a passion to get the ball rolling with a South Korean inspired cosmetics range, something the former Spice Girl knows a thing or two about with her own beauty brand being worth a reported £100,000,000.

Her eponymous global brand, which includes makeup infused with luxury skincare brand Augustinus Bader, has been hailed by beauty gurus as one of the best in the business and remains a major financial driver for the designer.

She told Emma Grede on her Aspire podcast: ‘[Harper] said “I want to create a brand because I know what I want and don’t want other people to have to go through what I have been through.”’

Victoria said how ambitious Harper even approached her with PowerPoint presentations in the early stages of getting her beauty line off the ground.

The fashion icon added: ‘She came to me two or three years ago and she was really struggling with her skin.

‘She used to have beautiful skin, but like all young girls she was enticed by beauty brands and she was putting a lot of product on her face that was not suitable for her skin and consequently ended up going to see a dermatologist because her skin was really, really bad.’

An insider told Metro that Harper, like any other teenager, felt self conscious about her skin, but wanted to give other teenagers an answer to suitable and gentle skincare for her age group.

‘Social media has seen a rise in young people using skincare which isn’t made for their skin, it’s where Harper saw a gap in the market to plug into. She’s incredibly up to date with what’s trending with Gen A so this couldn’t be more of a perfect venture for her.’

It’s a struggle that Victoria can relate to, revealing that she’s had ‘problematic’ skin her entire life.

‘I’ve been very open about how I’ve struggled with my skin, so I’m careful I don’t use anything that will irritate it,’ she said. ‘I’ve been so self conscious with bad acne.’

While Harper’s brand has no release date as of yet, insiders say they’re bracing for it to have a big impact on the industry and sales are expected to skyrocket.

‘There’s no doubt that anything Harper choses to do will be a big success. She’s destined for big things.’
