Diane Keatonâs friend, Sarah Paulson, was seen crying as she left the late actressâs Los Angeles home on Saturday, just hours after it was confirmed that the âFamily Stoneâ star had died at the age of 79.
According to photos published by Page Six, the âAmerican Horror Storyâ actress, 50, appeared visibly upset during the visit and was seen at one point embracing someone outside the property. Paulson was later spotted sitting inside a black vehicle before driving away.
Several other people, including a woman in a striped outfit, were also seen gathering outside Keatonâs residence as news of her passing spread.
A Friendship Built on Humor & Heart
Paulson and Keaton shared a close friendship that lasted for years. In July 2021, the pair were photographed enjoying dinner in Beverly Hills with Paulsonâs longtime partner, Holland Taylor. Later that year, the trio was spotted again dining at Il Piccolino restaurant in West Hollywood.
Their friendship was as warm as it was witty. During a June 2021 Interview Magazine conversation, Paulson playfully asked Keaton, âWhat person, place, or thing makes your heart sing? (You can say me).â
Keaton replied with her signature humor and warmth. âOf course, Sarah, you make my heart sing. My friends make my heart sing. My kids make my heart sing. But also, Lillet Blanc makes my heart sing. With lots of ice.â
