Fans got a rare glimpse into Helena Bonham Carterâs life when she posed for photos for a new campaign. But it was not just any campaign, because she was joined by her daughter, Nell Burton.
Nell is 17 and the daughter of Carter and filmmaker Tim Burton.Â

Photos from Larkspur & Hawk’s 25th anniversary campaign show the mom-and-daughter duo posing in expensive jewelry from the brandâs Palette collection. For the Georgian-inspired photo shoot, Carter had her hair in a big, bold updo with a slight pink tint. She has matching pink eyeshadow, and she looks gorgeous! In other pictures, she poses alongside Nell, who smiles into the camera as her mom gently presses her face against hers. A second image is more playful, with Carter using Nellâs hair as a mustache.

What makes these photos even more beautiful is how personal they are, because Nell is wearing her motherâs Sadie Rivière necklace, which was a gift from her mother (Nellâs grandmother).Â
âI rarely want anything for my birthday, but some years ago, my mother wanted to buy something for the occasion and I knew exactly what,” Carter said, the Larkspur & Hawk website reports. “We both came to the Larkspur & Hawk showroom in New York, and it was then that I chose the (Sadie Crazy Quilt) rivière, which I pretty much wear daily. Itâs like a bunch of sweeties, or in American, candy. It gives me a lift no matter whatever mood I’m in. Also, as itâs from my mum, it feels Iâm carrying a bit of her wherever I go.â
Carter intends to pass the necklace down to Nell as a family heirloom. âOne day it will be on to my own daughter, Nell, if she doesnât steal it before!â she said.
The Stunning Photos
Founder Emily Satloff knew she wanted Carter to be a part of the campaign. “When imagining how to memorialize the 25th anniversary of Larkspur & Hawk, I dreamt of enlisting my friend, the legendary British actress Helena Bonham Carter, to join in the celebration,â the Larkspur & Hawk website reports.
The statement continues, âThe basis of our friendship revolves around a mutual esteem for each other. Helena came into my life because she loves the jewelry I create, and I have always admired her acting career. While we work in very different fields, we are both creative, and as such, I could not have imagined a better foundation for producing this fairytale of a campaign.”
Motherhood is something that Carter has cherished. “I’m not working right now,” Carter said in a 2010 interview, E! News reports. “I need to be a mom. It’s much harder being a mom than an actress.” She also revealed she was taking parenting classes. “You know, no one taught me what to do.”
