Hulk Hogan‘s family, friends, and fellow wrestling legends came together in Florida on Tuesday to bid farewell to the iconic WWE superstar, just weeks after his unexpected passing.
TMZ reported that the private funeral service took place at Indian Rocks Baptist Church in Largo, located near his Clearwater home.
Pallbearers Honor Hogan in Yellow Roses as Celebs Arrive for Heartfelt Memorial
As per photos shared by Daily Mail, a hearse carrying Hoganâs coffin arrived at the church with eight pallbearers. Each pallbearer was seen wearing yellow rose lapel pins as a nod to Hoganâs iconic ring gear, which he carried inside.
Among those attending were WWEâs Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, musician Kid Rock, and comedian Theo Von.
Remembering the Man Behind the Legend
The service was held in the wake of Hoganâs death on July 24, after first responders were called to his Clearwater Beach residence for cardiac arrest. He was pronounced dead less than 90 minutes later at a local hospital.
TMZ reported that his official cause of death was listed as natural, though reports confirmed the WWE legend had been privately battling leukemia and suffered from atrial fibrillation.
Over the last decade, he had undergone over two dozen surgeries, including multiple back operations, and knee and hip replacements.
Heartfelt Tributes from Nick & Brooke Hogan
Hoganâs son, Nick Hogan, marked his birthday by honoring his father with a deeply emotional message on social media.
âMy dad was the most incredible person I’ve ever known and will always be my hero,â Nick wrote. âHe was the most kind, loving, and amazing father anybody could ask for.â
Nick also attended WWE SummerSlam 2025 in New Jersey, where he was visibly moved during a tribute package that celebrated his fatherâs legacy.
Brooke Hogan, Hoganâs daughter, shared a six-page post on social media reflecting on their complex but deeply bonded relationship.
âWe shared a quiet, sacred bond⦠When he left this earth, it felt like part of my spirit left with him,â she wrote.
A Legacy That Shaped Wrestling History
Born Terry Bollea, Hogan rose to superstardom in the 1980s and became the face of WWEâs golden era. He headlined the first “WrestleMania” in 1985 and later faced legends like André the Giant, Randy Savage, The Rock, and Vince McMahon.
Though he has now been laid to rest, Hulk Hoganâs larger-than-life persona, his red-and-yellow legacy, and his impact on generations of wrestling fans will never be forgotten.
His memorial service followed a moving 10-bell salute during “SmackDown” and a standing ovation from fans and peers alike.
