How Ree Drummond’s Daughter Paid Tribute to Her Famous Mom at Her Oklahoma Wedding

Ree Drummond attends The Pioneer Woman Magazine Celebration with Ree Drummond at The Mason Jar

Ree Drummond’s daughter, Paige Drummond, tied the knot on their family ranch in a wedding that blended family tradition, Western flair, and personal touches that paid tribute to her famous mom. The “Pioneer Woman” star helped plan every detail of the special day, from the flower-draped cross at the altar to the custom embroidered bandanas handed out at the reception. But the most touching part? How Paige honored Ree and their shared roots throughout the entire celebration.

Paige Drummond Honored Her Mom With Her Wedding Dress

Paige always knew she wanted a classic and simple wedding dress—and she found the perfect one. The drop-waist gown by Lela Rose subtly nodded to Ree’s own 1996 wedding dress, creating a meaningful mother-daughter connection. “It’s the dress of my dreams,” Paige said in the new edition of The Pioneer Woman magazine.

That wasn’t the only way Paige honored her family. She wore one of her late grandma Nan’s sapphire and diamond rings as her “something blue” and tied a locket with photos of Nan and Chuck Drummond to her bouquet. These emotional tributes brought past generations into the present as Paige married David Andersen.

Family played a huge role in the celebration. David’s mother, Heather Andersen, spoke about how Paige was the exact kind of woman she had always envisioned for her son. “Somebody strong, who knows who they are and can be an equal partner in life,” Heather said. “When it happens, it’s such a blessing.”

Ree Drummond Worked With Her Daughter on Every Aspect of Her Wedding

The Drummond Ranch has always been home for Paige, and it made the perfect backdrop for her May 17 wedding. “I couldn’t see it happening anywhere else,” Paige shared. “It’s truly one of the prettiest places, and it’s so close to my heart.”

She and David met through mutual friends during college—Paige attended the University of Arkansas, while David went to Oklahoma State—and their celebration brought hundreds of friends and family back to where Paige grew up. Just like her older sister, Alex Drummond, who got married on the ranch in 2021, Paige worked with Ree to bring the day to life. “It’s nice to have somebody there who has similar taste,” she said.

The wedding ceremony took place in front of a flower-covered cross, followed by a colorful reception in a custom-built venue. Paige brought the outdoors in with wild, flowy florals designed by Jackson Durham and a towering wedding cake by Amy’s Cakes in Norman, Oklahoma. A smaller groom’s cake shaped like a pickup truck added a playful touch.

Western details completed the vibe, including cowboy boots, saddles for bar seats, and a bandana embroidery station for guests. Paige and David skipped the first look and saved the moment for the aisle. “I wanted it to be really special and emotional,” Paige explained. Their first dance was to Chris Stapleton’s “Joy of My Life,” and Paige’s father-daughter dance with Ladd Drummond was set to Garth Brooks’ “That Girl Is a Cowboy.”

Ree Drummond’s ranch can also be seen on “The Pioneer Woman,” Saturdays on Food Network.
