Howard Stern has sensationally declared he would be willing to give Hugh Jackman a ‘hand job’.
The American broadcaster, 71, has been a mainstay on the airwaves since 1986 with his self-titled Sirius XM radio show.
Over the years he’s not held back from sharing his thoughts and opinions on a range of topics and even public figures.
However, one of his most recent interviews took things a step further.
This week Howard was speaking to Hugh, who is currently promoting his film Song Sung Blue, in which he stars alongside Kate Hudson as members of a Neil Diamond tribute band.
But when discussing Hugh’s attractive looks and how well he’s aged naturally, Howard quipped that he wouldn’t be opposed to sharing an intimate moment with the Hollywood heartthrob.
‘I’d give you a hand job … Not a blow job. I’m not that gay,’ Howard declared.
The broadcaster also didn’t miss his chance to gush over Hugh, declaring that: ‘At my best, I didn’t look as good as you.’
He then also went on to beg the actor to avoid ever going under the knife and getting any cosmetic procedures.
Howard Stern’s most shocking moments
After nearly 40 years on air, Howard Stern has been involved in a string of shocking moments broadcast to millions of listeners. In that time he’s also faced over $2.5 million (£1.8million) in fines from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for various instances of indecency and profanity. Here are some of his most-jaw dropping incidents that involved famous faces.
Mocking Selena after she died
Following the murder of Mexican-American singer Selena Quintanilla-Pérez in 1995, Howard played gunshots over her music and mocked her fans using a fake Hispanic accent. He was then subject to an arrest warrant for disorderly conduct and issued subsequent on-air apology.
Infamous Dana Plato interview
In 1999 Diff’rent Strokes actress Dana Plato was a guest on The Howard Stern Show, during which she was questioned about her financial problems and run-in’s with the law. After admitting to be a recovering alcoholic and drug addict, the show put through callers who questioned Plato’s sobriety and criticised her. Although Howard came to her defence, he also jokingly offered her drugs.
Making comments about celebrities weight
In two different instances on air, Howard fat-shamed actress Gabourey Sidibe and called singer Sam Smith a ‘fat ugly motherf***er’ who ‘looks gay’
Emma Bunton probe
In 2005 Howard infamously asked Spice Girls star Emma Bunton if she was a virgin when she joined the band and questioned her about her menstrual cycle.
Dolly Parton audio edits
The radio presenter’s team edited an audiobook of Dolly Parton’s autobiography to create a racist and sexually graphic soundbite, which the singer said ‘shocked, hurt and humiliated’ her. ‘In a blue million years, I would never have such vulgar things come out of my mouth. They have done editing or some sort of trickery to make this horrible, horrible thing,’ she said.
Questioning the truth of Kim Kardashian’s Paris robbery
On last week’s episode of The Kardashians, Kim spoke about the 2016 Paris robbery in which she was held at gunpoint and had $10million (£7.5million) worth of jewellery stolen. ‘Howard Stern was famously mocking it all the time and saying that I’m just sick, and it’s such a joke, and I made it all up. I remember he was so defiant about it. And I was like, “How can you be so certain? People trust you”. That always stuck with me,’ she said. However on an episode of his radio show this week, Howard hit back and said: ‘She’s accusing me of something that just never happened. I mean, I don’t know her, but it’s just odd. I just have to clear this up one last time.’
Although Howard seemed keen to show his appreciation for Hugh – there’s every chance his wife may not be that encouraging.
He’s been married to model and TV host Beth Ostrosky since 2008. Howard also shares three daughters with ex-wife Alison Berns, who he was married to from 1978 until 1999.
Meanwhile Hugh was married to actress Deborra-Lee Furness for 27 years until they announced their split in September last year.
The pair met on the set of Australian TV show Correlli, getting married in 1996 and later welcoming children Ava and Oscar together.
At the time of their separation, they released a joint statement that read: ‘We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage,’ it read. ‘Our journey now is shifting, and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.
‘Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness.
‘We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives.’
However a few days after filing for divorce, his ex-wife released a bombshell statement.
‘My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal,’ she began.
‘It’s a profound wound that cuts deep, however, I believe in a higher power and that God/the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working FOR us.’
She then specifically spoke about her 27-year marriage to Hugh, saying: ‘This belief has helped me navigate the breakdown of an almost three-decade marriage.
‘I have gained much knowledge and wisdom through this experience. Even when we are presented with apparent adversity, it is leading us to our greatest good, our true purpose.
‘It can hurt, but in the long run, returning to yourself and living within your own integrity, values and boundaries is liberation and freedom.’
A source for Hugh later said he was ‘extremely disappointed’ by the statement.
‘There was no stipulation that she could not address this, but there was an unwritten understanding that she would not trash him to the press,’ they said.
Not long after he was linked to his The Music Man co-star Sutton Foster, whom he’d met in 2022 when they starred in the Broadway production together.
In October 2024, Sutton, 50, filed for divorce from her husband of 10 years, Screenwriter Ted Griffin.
It was in January this year that their romance was confirmed after the pair were snapped holding hands in Santa Monica after what appeared to be a dinner date.
Late last month he then posted a gushing tribute to his partner after she performed with a band at New York City’s Café Carlyle.
‘@suttonlenore performing during the holidays at @cafecarlyle … now that’s an iconic NYC night! And, truly magical,’ he captioned the post, which showed her smiling on stage wearing a long-sequinned gown.
