Ahead of Celebrity Traitors‘ dramatic conclusion last night, season three winner, Jake Brown, shared his prophetic theory that explained why the Faithfuls lost.
Faithful Jake, who is a judge at the 2026 Scope Awards, won the hit BBC series alongside Leanne Quigley, with the pair splitting the whopping prize pot of £94,600.
The 28-year-old secured the victory after playing a masterful game in which he noticed fellow contestant Linda Rands was a Traitor from the very first round table, when she lifted her head at Claudia Winkleman’s address.
As the foremost expert on winning the game in the UK right now, the reality star has had a keen eye on the debut Celebrity Traitors season, telling Metro that starring in the actual game offers a ‘different perspective’ of the whole show.
The finale, which aired on BBC One last night, saw Traitor Alan Carr swoop to a shock victory against remaining Faithfuls, Nick Mohammed and David Olusoga.
Although he had posed that David was the key to winning, in the end, it was the Faithfuls’ falling-apart strategy that let them down, as Jake had predicted to Metro.

With both sides in such a precarious position, Jake noted that Nick and Joe’s strategy to keep their cards close to their chest could backfire, which it ultimately did with Nick turning on Joe at the last second.
‘It’s helped them, selfishly, get to the final, but in terms of the collective, it’s not helped the other Faithfuls,’ Jake explained, sharing an example of how banished Faithful Kate was unaware of Nick’s theory about Cat and Alan.
Or more Faithfuls as a whole could have banded together sooner, and even ‘got Alan out by now’.
What charity did Alan Carr choose after winning Celebrity Traitors?
Which charity did he choose?
Alan Carr revealed his £87,500 prize pot will be donated to children’s cancer charity Neuroblastoma UK
What is Neuroblastoma?
According to the charity’s own website, ‘Neuroblastoma is classified as an embryonal tumour, a type of cancer that develops from the cells left behind from a baby’s development in the womb. The cells from which it develops from are specific cells in the nervous system called neuroblasts, giving neuroblastoma its name.’
What does the charity do?
The organisation is a research charity hoping to ‘lead to more effective treatments and ultimately a cure for every child diagnosed with the disease’.

What did Alan Carr say?
‘The charity is so close to my heart that it all became a bit too much. Hopefully when people see how upset I was they won’t feel so bad that I killed all those national treasures.’
He reflected: ‘It’s a selfish game, you’re playing to win for yourself. So in one aspect, you gotta respect it, because if it ends up that Nick and Joe win, then it’s worked completely, but if it goes against them, they might look back and think, “oh, maybe I should have mentioned this sooner”.’
No doubt a regret they’re already had running through their mind.
Ultimately, even if Alan (who giggled every time the Traitors is mentioned) and Cat’s betrayals seemed as clear as day for viewers, it is never as easy in the castle.
Jake recalled it being a ‘humbling experience’ and even bonded with the GMB presenter over how they both went in assuming it would be much easier than it ended up being to sniff out the snakes.
He added: ‘Alan Carr is just Alan Carr, so when he’s sweating, giggling and laughing, that is just him. So to try and notice and say: “That’s a Traitor’s sign.” Well, maybe it isn’t. Maybe it’s just Alan, and he probably would be the same if he played it as a Faithful.’
And also acknowledged how much ‘luck’ and being ‘in the right place at the right time’ are to making it all the way to the end – as poor Paloma Faith quickly discovered.
The show completely transformed Jake’s life in more ways than one and offered him the opportunity to share his life with cerebral palsy in an impactful way.
Scope Awards 2026

Now, he is a judge at the Scope Awards, a charity working to end disability inequality by bringing people together to change attitudes and shape the future. Especially as 1 in 4 people in the UK have a disability of some form.
Talking about what an ‘honour’ it is to be involved, he shared that he wants to show young people who ‘lack confidence’ that they can ‘achieve great things in life, no matter what barriers or limitations.’
He shared the ethos, saying: ‘If you’re disabled or not, we have a community that helps one another and wants to push people to greatness.’
And credits Traitors with offering much-needed diverse representation that he didn’t see on TV when growing up.
‘I’ve had so many messages from people saying: “I feel seen. I feel heard. It’s nice to see someone like myself on screen. So I’m hoping that off the back of that other shows will do the same,’ he concluded.
Celebrity Traitors is now streaming on BBC iPlayer.
