I’m A Celebrity fans have expressed concern for Lisa Riley after spotting an apparent change in her appearance during the latest episode of the ITV reality show.

The drama Down Under returned on Thursday night, as two newcomers entered the jungle and immediately started ruffling feathers amongst the campmates.

But it was Emmerdale icon Riley who several viewers took note of during the live episode, as they noticed the 49-year-old appeared to have a swollen undereye.

There has been no mention during the show of Riley having sustained an injury or insect bite, and the soap star has not said anything about being in discomfort thus far.

But ITV viewers who did notice the red mark took to X (formerly Twitter) to comment, with @Chris94803 questioning: ‘Anyone else noticed Lisa’s eye looks swollen?’

Meanwhile, @LinziRainbow wrote: ‘What has happened to Lisa, has she been bitten just below her eye?’

Tagging the official I’m A Celebrity account, @parkinette asked the ITV team: ‘Please can the medics give Lisa something for her sore face.’

@Gracie_Blue89 meanwhile questioned: ‘Is Lisa alright? Looks like she’s got a shiner.’

Whether Lisa has sought medical attention in the camp has not been televised, but the campmates are closely monitored by the I’m A Celebrity team while in the jungle.

Before flying south, Riley was best known to viewers as Mandy Dingle on the Dales – and after being announced in the 2025 line-up, she confirmed that she will be taking a page out of Mandy’s book and be a no-nonsense contestant.

She said to Metro: ‘It’s going to be ace! I will be there for everyone but I don’t suffer fools gladly. My inner Mandy Dingle will come out if someone is mean!’

She has turned down the jungle many times, but felt that the combination of her 50th birthday and two losses in her personal life encouraged her to take it on.

She told us: ‘I lost my best friend not so long ago and mum got diagnosed at the age of 48 (with breast cancer), I’m 49.

‘Nothing can be as bad as that in life and I have got to see if I can do it. Every day is a blessing and I want to really enjoy everything.’

Metro contacted ITV for comment.

I’m A Celebrity airs weeknights on ITV1 at 9pm.
