Adam Thomas was left so unimpressed by David Haye ‘goading’ him during the I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! final that he ‘stormed off set’.

The recent All Star season of the long-running series – which came to an end on Friday nighthad been plagued with a string of spats and bullying allegations between the celebrity campmates.

However, things came to a head during the final when David, 45, heckled Adam, 37, from the audience while the actor was in conversation with hosts Ant McPartlin, 50, and Declan Donnelly, 50.

The tension continued after Jimmy Bullard, 47, also went on to label Adam ‘abusive, aggressive and intimidating’. After David joined in with the pile on, Sinitta and Gemma Collins walked off.

When being crowned ‘Ultimate Legend’ Waterloo Road star Adam had looked completely miserable but later said that the experience of being on the show had ‘shown me my strength in ways I never imagined’.

Despite Adam expressing his gratitude for making it through the show, it’s now been reported that he was so furious as the final was being filmed that he walked off.

Just a few moments after Adam was crowned, when cameras on the main show stopped rolling, David was seen telling him he wasn’t a ‘worthy winner’.

Crying out ‘this is bullying’, The Sun said that he then ‘threw his flower crown on the floor’.

‘He stormed off to his dressing room where he was joined by his brothers and wife,’ the publication added.

Much of the outburst during the final was related to the fact that Jimmy had called ‘I’m a celebrity, get me out of here’ during a trial when he was paired up with Adam, which put both of their places on the show at risk.

Although Adam was eventually told he could say, an explosive argument unfolded between the pair.

In the expletive-laden row, Adam shouted: ‘Pr**k. I have done all that for him…if you wanted to go, f***ing go. Don’t take me with you. What is up with you? Tell me why? All you had to do was run through some f***ing mud and you said: “Get me out of here.”’

After it was aired, it was claimed that the argument had escalated further, and Adam had been dropping ‘f-bombs and c-bombs’.

In a statement to Metro, ITV said it ‘showed an accurate and fair representation of events’, while Ant later confirmed that some of the language was ‘un-broadcastable.’

During the live final, Jimmy claimed that his fee would change depending on how he left the show, which influenced the way he decided to bow out.

Although claimed that Adam had been ‘aggressive’ towards him, however Ant argued he didn’t believe what unfolded had been ‘intimidating’.

When given the chance to speak on the matter during the final, Adam said he ‘took full responsibility’ for his actions and said emotions had been ‘running high’.

‘I have nothing but love for Jimmy in that moment. I have apologised to Jimmy on numerous occasions, and I do take everything that he is saying into account and the only thing I can do is apologise,’ he said.

‘That is not how I want to show myself off and I have never shown myself off like that before or after that. I do apologise Jimmy.’

However, David then kept jumping in saying that editing was ‘making Adam the victim so the people will support him’.

Following the airing of the final, Gemma branded David and Jimmy’s behaviour ‘disgusting’.

Meanwhile Adam’s wife Caroline Thomas shared a statement on social media in which she called what happened a ‘vile display’.

‘Not one bit of that was fun, or “banter”, as a wife my heart is breaking and I will forever be horrified at what I had to sit and watch my husband go through,’ she wrote.

On Saturday Adam went on to share a post of his own, saying that he had ‘walked through this journey with my heart first’. ‘It was not always easy, there were moments that could have broken me, but I stayed true to myself and that is something I will always be proud of,’ he wrote.

‘I have realised that when people try to dim your light, it says more about them than it ever will about you.

‘This experience has shown me my strength in ways I never imagined. Not because of any title or recognition, but because I stayed kind, I stayed grounded and I stayed real.’

His post received support from fellow campmates too, with Scarlett Moffatt writing: ‘You have handled it all with grace. Sending lots of love. No one can take the title of legend away from you. Keep smiling Adam.’

Meanwhile Ashley Roberts also commented: ‘Nothing but love for you Adam. You deserved that legend title. Keep shinning that big light of yours.’

Metro has contacted representatives for Adam Thomas for comment.
