Ireland Baldwin has criticised Perez Hilton following his hospitalisation, branding his past behaviour as ‘unforgivable’.

The model and actress, who is the daughter of Alec Baldwin, reacted as celebrity blogger Perez recovers in hospital following a distressing TikTok livestream which saw him allegedly self-harming.

Ireland, 30, has now claimed that Perez, 48, ‘humiliated her for years’ in a post which also said she ‘hopes he gets the help he needs’.

She wrote on Instagram Stories: ‘Perez Hilton has [publicly] humiliated my family for years. He [has] sexualised me from a young age, commented on my weight and body (as a child), made unforgivable comments about people in my family, drew j**z[sic] coming out of my mom’s and friend’s mouths, and has always been a despicable human being.

‘But his children deserve better and a healthy father and I am so sad for all of them. I hope he gets the help he needs and heals.’

Perez, real name Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr., is a Miami-based blogger, podcaster, and media personality best known for his blog PerezHilton.com, which covers celebrity gossip.

Throughout his career, Perez has become embroiled in several celebrity feuds and controversies with the stars he’s written about.

Perez is alleged to have outed several gay celebrities over the years, including former NSYNC member Lance Bass and actor Neil Patrick Harris.

In 2010 he was also accused of sharing a link on Twitter to an upskirt picture of Miley Cyrus, who was 17 at the time.

He’s known for his highly volatile history with Britney Spears, after mocking her weight and mental health crisis throughout his career, also alleging that she was an ‘unfit mother’.

Following Tuesday night’s incident, Perez’s family have now issued an update on his condition saying he’s able to communicate after being hospitalised.

‘This has been incredibly difficult and emotional for us, made even harder because very little information has been made available to our family. While we continue to wait for further updates, we remain hopeful,’ his family said.

‘We have also been able to confirm that Perez can communicate, which has given our family hope.’

The incident prompted concerned viewers to alert the emergency services to his house.

The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office told CNN they ‘received multiple calls regarding an individual who was livestreaming acts of self-harm on social media’.

They said: ‘Deputies quickly located the individual’s residence, where they spoke with family members on scene, and confirmed he was alone inside.

‘In many incidents involving a person experiencing a mental health crisis or actively harming themselves, deputies prioritise de-escalation by creating time, distance and opportunities for communication.

‘Unless there is an immediate threat to others, slowing the situation and utilising crisis intervention techniques can reduce the likelihood of injury to the individual, deputies and the public.’
