Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall has continued to smash her solo era as she bared it all in her latest single Midnight Cowboy.
The new R&B hit – co-written by Raye – comes after a majorly successful solo debut, Angel Of My Dreams, in July and even features Doctor Who actor Ncuti Gatwa in the spoken-word portion of the song.
‘I didn’t want you all to have to wait so long for music again…
Midnight Cowboy is a sultry, understated bass-heavy bop about owning your sexuality and your talents that come with it,’ the 31-year-old singer said about her highly-anticipated follow-up.
In the music video for the club banger, the singer progressively strips down to a white vest top and plaid shirt wrapped around her thighs as she dances among fonts of water.
‘Giddy up, it’s the wild wild west / And I think it’s bout time for the midnight cowboy Giddy up / it’s the wild wild west / And you know what comes next, it the midnight cowboy,’ the chorus goes.

As her top gets soaked, Jade’s nipples become visible under the almost-see-through garment as she thrashes more and more in the water in a frantic display of energy.
The Sex Education star acts as an MC for the track, kicking the song off by proclaiming: ‘Ladies and gentlemen, theys and thems. Hold on tight, the performance is about to begin.’
He then interjects throughout the song.

The official visualiser has already totted up 137k views in the first ten hours of its release on YouTube as fans called the song ‘so fire’.

Jade’s first single, Angel of My Dreams, secured millions of streams and became the third-highest new entry for a British artist this year on the UK Officials Singles Chart. She also sampled Sandie Shaw’s 1967 Number 1 single Puppet on A String.
Ahead of its release she said: ‘I want people to be like ‘oh my God, I didn’t expect that’ – but then want to listen again.
‘I didn’t want to do a safe first single, that was really important to me. I’m setting the tone of who I am as an artist on my own. I want people to hear it and be like ‘what the f*** is that song?’. My worst nightmare is for someone to hear my song and go ‘that’s nice.
‘I’m so proud of it, and I can say that with chest. The fans have waited long enough, so now we just want to give it to them.’
There is currently no release date for her solo album although it is anticipated to arrive in 2025.
