Towie star Jake Hall was found laying on a patio floor by a neighbour who heard glass smashing at a villa he was staying at.
The former reality TV star and fashion designer, 35, was found dead on Wednesday at a holiday villa in Majorca.
Tributes from the world of TV have remembered Hall after the incident, with his ex and mother of their daughter River, Misse Beqiri, saying their hearts are ‘shattered’.
A local who lived in the village of Santa Margalida, where Hall had been staying, recalled rushing to try and save him after a loud crash took place.
According to reports, Hall had invited friends back to the villa for a small after-party following a night out in Palma on Tuesday night. At around 7.15am glass was heard smashing.
Rafel, a construction worker who lives nearby, was heading to work and rushed over to the rented villa when he heard cries for help from a group of young women in their twenties standing in the street, the Daily Mail reports.
He reportedly found Hall on the patio floor with cuts all over his body and a large shard of glass in his neck.
Rafel told the Daily Mail: ‘I am no hero. I would have tried to save anyone who had been in that position and I would like to think anyone else would too.
‘His friends were in the street shouting “help, help” and that their friend had an accident.
‘He was badly cut all over his body, especially on his arms. He was topless but someone had placed a t-shirt over his body. He also had glass shards lodged in his neck and chest. There was a big red mark on his head.
‘It looked like he ran through the glass patio door thinking it was open but in reality it was closed. I tried to see if there was anything I could do to help save him but there was sadly no sign of life. He was not breathing and I could feel no pulse.’
Authorities in Majorca have said there is no evidence at present of a crime, while a legal source saying the death is being treated as an ‘accidental death’.

Jake Hall’s death – What we know
Police found Jake Hall lying in a pool of blood with fatal injuries caused by shards of glass after he reportedly smashed his head through a door.
The former Towie star had been in Majorca with witnesses informing investigators he had been ‘partying all night and decided to carry on the party back at the place he was renting’.
Police were called to the rented property at 7.30am and have interviewed four men and two women staying at the house.
A neighbour told local paper Ultima Hora: ‘It must have been around 2am. It was late but I was still awake.
‘I began to hear a very loud noise, as if they were drilling something. I felt the walls vibrate. They stopped after about five minutes and then I fell asleep.’
Another neighbour said she hadn’t heard anything out of the ordinary.
Hall’s body was removed from the property at around 1pm yesterday.
There have been no arrests and an autopsy will take place in the Majorcan capital Palma.

Model Beqiri has since shared a tribute to Hall, promising to keep their eight-year-old daughter River ‘safe, loved, and wrapped in the kind of love you gave effortlessly’.
‘I never thought I would ever have to write this, and the pain of even putting these words down feels unbearable,’ she wrote.
‘There was no way you were ever supposed to go. My heart is shattered, and so is our daughter’s.
‘You lit up every room you walked into – your smile, your charm, your energy that filled the air. The way you loved music, how deeply you felt every sound, your creativity, your mind, your spirit.’
