Her touching words and beautiful outlook on her newfound attention have resulted in an outpouring of love from fans and celebrities. “Thank you for this – I am profoundly moved. He was such a beautiful spirit and remains so. His openness, warmth, and humanity touched millions upon millions because he was gentle, honest, and kind – and of course brilliant,” a comment reads. “But we don’t pour out this kind of love for the simply brilliant. It’s the brilliant and deeply human few – like PJ – who remind us always what really matters.”

Another fan shared a deeply personal story, and it was one of hope. “James was an inspiration to me. I always wanted to be able to meet him at a convention just so I could tell him so in person,” a comment reads. “Tell him how I’ve struggled with mental health since I was 8, and hearing his story, what he overcame, it was like a lighthouse with a beacon of hope. He gave me an added strength against my own fight against that darkness.”

A third comment reads, “Always had the last word.”
