TMZ was the first to report that Ransone, best known for his work on “The Wire,” died in Los Angeles at age 46, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, which ruled his death a suicide.

Jamie McPhee Shares a Heartfelt Tribute

In the days following Ransone’s death, attention has turned to McPhee, who shared a deeply personal message honoring their life together and the family they built.

McPhee broke her silence with a moving tribute reflecting on love, partnership, and the bond they shared as parents. She took to her social media account to share a loving tribute to her partner. Sharing a picture of the time she was pregnant, she wrote:

“I told you I have loved you 1000 times before, and I know I will love you again. You told me – I need to be more like you, and you need to be more like me – and you were so right. Thank you for giving me the greatest gifts – you, Jack and Violet. We are forever.”

The couple shared two children, Jack and Violet, and deliberately chose to keep their family life private.

A Private Marriage Centered on Family

McPhee and Ransone shared a marriage rooted in privacy, choosing to keep much of their relationship out of the public eye. She is not an actor and remained largely out of the spotlight throughout her career. According to her social media posts, the couple tied the knot at Rosewood Beach on Lake Michigan on September 23, 2017.

McPhee rarely appeared in interviews or at industry events, underscoring the couple’s preference for a life focused on family rather than fame.

However, McPhee shares moments of family joy and her life on Instagram. On June 2, 2024, she shared a sweet post for her husband with the caption:

“15 years ago, late to a birthday dinner at lil frankies, I gave this man a pineapple from a deli with receipt tape as a present that said – “good for one beach vacation anywhere, anytime.” I never expected he’d cash it in so many times. Happy birthday, PJ. You are the GDOAT, and here’s to all the beaches ahead. We love you more.”

Her messages prove she was not just a doting mom of two, but also loved her husband with all her heart.
