The actress, 67, went on to remember Kelly not only as family, but as one of the most important people in her life.
âShe was my first friend and lifelong confidant,â Jamie Lee continued. âShe was jaw droppingly beautiful, and a talented actress.â
The touching tribute painted a vivid picture of Kellyâs personality and passions, highlighting the many things that made her unique.
âShe played a mean game of hearts, collected turtles, loved her family, nature, music, thrifting, travel, Facebook, and Pokémon Go,â Jamie Lee shared. âShe was proud of her Danish roots and Hungarian Jewish ancestry and was a devoted American patriot.â
Jamie Lee also reflected on the small traditions and memories that defined their relationship, including Kellyâs beloved Christmas cookies â which earned her a special nickname within the family.
âShe will be remembered for her loving generosity, fierce opinions, endless curiosity, unique style, and her powdered, almond, crescent cookies at Christmas, hence her name, Auntie Cookie,â she wrote.
Ending the tribute with a heartfelt farewell, Jamie Lee referenced the blessing Kelly often used when signing off messages.
âKelly always signed off any message or fare thee well with a Hungarian blessingâ¦â she explained. âIsten Veled, God is with you.â
