It has been more than twenty years since Jane Fonda and billionaire Ted Turner ended their marriage, yet the admiration between them is still evident. Fonda, 87, praised Turner, 86, at GCAPPâs 30th annual EmPower Party and gala, where she credited him with helping her charity overcome its earliest challenges.

âIt was a very challenging time in Georgia. Had I not been with Ted, this was something; had he not stood by me with his love and support, we never would have survived,â Fonda said, as reported by People. âTedâs not here, but he is here in my heart, and I know he is here in a lot of our hearts.â
Her voice softened as she reminded the room that even decades after their split, she still calls him her âfavorite ex-husband.â
A Romance That Started With Sparks at a Charity Event
Fonda and Turner first crossed paths in 1990 at a charity event, and the spark was immediate. On paper, they could not have been more different.
