Jasmine From ‘90 Day Fiancé’ Teases Fans With Fake Engagement Announcement After Finalizing Divorce From Gino

On Tuesday, the TLC star took to <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/p/DayGdijCf1t/?img_index=8″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Instagram</a> to share a post that appeared to announce her engagement to her boyfriend, Matt Branistareanu.

“He got down on one knee to propose… and I said YES ,” Jasmine captioned the slideshow, which featured a series of photos of her and Matt with a waterfront backdrop.

“A huge thank you to @ferreirovco for creating such a unique ring,” she added. “Their designs are truly timeless, and every piece feels like something you’ll treasure forever. I’m so in love with it.”

But those who clicked through to the end of the slideshow discovered that Jasmine and Matt aren’t actually planning to tie the knot.

“Matt got down on one knee, not to ask me to marry him, but to ask if we could adopt a Chihuahua,” she wrote on the last slide. “I said yes.”

Jasmine’s post had more than a few people fooled, at least initially.

“Omg I just saw the last slide ! lol” commented fellow 90 Day star Cortney Reardanz.

“Awww you got me!” another person wrote.

Many others didn’t look at Jasmine’s entire post, instead offering their sincere congratulations on her engagement.

The assumption that the 90 Day: The Last Resort alum had decided to say “I do” again wasn’t totally out of left field. In June, she <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/90-day-fiance-stars-gino-and-jasmine-finalize-divorce.html/”>finalized her divorce from Gino Palazzolo</a>, with whom she appeared on 90 Day Fiancé. The official split came more than a year after she and Matt welcomed their daughter, Matilda.

Jasmine got involved with Matt while she was still with Gino. She first demanded an open relationship due to dissatisfaction in her marriage, but what was supposed to be a no-strings-attached situation with Matt soon turned into something more, leading to a permanent break with Gino.

After getting burned in her relationship with her ex-husband, Jasmine says that she’s in no hurry to become someone else’s wife.

“Hot take: marriage is one of the biggest scams I ever bought into,” she wrote in a June 25 <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/p/DaAxZkUkQRJ/?img_index=1″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Instagram</a> post.

“Never again. People keep asking me if I’d ever get married again,” she continued. “The answer is no. Even if you’re a multimillionaire. Yes, Matt proposed to me. And yes, I rejected him.”

“I want to make sure he, his family, and the whole world understand this: if he proposes to me a thousand times, I’ll reject him a thousand times,” Jasmine added. “I’d rather have my own peace, my own money, my own house, and sleep diagonally in my bed than ever sign another marriage certificate.”
