Jacklyn âJackieâ Bezos, the mother of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, has died at the age of 78. The Bezos Scholars Program announced that Jackie passed away peacefully at her Miami home on Thursday.
âA quiet final chapter to a life that taught all of us, friends and family alike, the true meaning of grit and determination, kindness and service to others,â the program said in a statement, as published by Daily Mail.

The family remembered Jackieâs unwavering devotion to her loved ones. âJackieâs life of service was second only to her passion for family and gathering. As a grandmother, Jackie found immense joy in watching her family grow. She passed down not only traditions and stories, but also her values â kindness, resilience, and the importance of togetherness.â

According to the statement, Jackie was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia in 2020. Her husband Mike remained by her side throughout her illness, and the family expressed deep gratitude to the healthcare professionals who cared for her in recent years.
