Jacklyn Bezos, the mother of Amazon founder and mega billionaire Jeff Bezos, died August 14 at 78 years old after previously being diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia, per a statement issued by the Bezos Family Foundation.
Now, the New Mexico native’s funeral has come and gone, and photos from the event paint a picture of Bezos being supported by a crowd of well-wishers. Read on to see the scene.
Jeff Bezos & Lauren Sanchez Were Seen At a Florida Funeral Home
On August 23, TMZ photographed the newlyweds, who were married in Venice on June 27, exiting a car outside a funeral home in Florida for the event. Bezos wore a sharp black suit while Sanchez dressed in a navy jacket, black A-line skirt, and elegant heels. A strand of pearls was draped around her neck. While Bezos opted to let the cameras see his face, the Princeton grad’s bride donned a pair of shades and looked towards the ground.
TMZ says the couple was joined in West Miami for the funeral by other family members including his brother Mark and dad Mike.
Bezos’ mother married Mike some time after splitting from his biological father, but the businessman has said he considers Mike to be his “real dad.”
In the TMZ report, the outlet shared a bit more intel on the funeral, saying it was small and cozy with around only 50 estimated attendees.
