Heâs the second richest person in the world, so perhaps it should be no surprise that billionaire Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is throwing himself and bride-to-be Lauren Sánchez whatâs touted as the âwedding of the century.â
And of course, to pull off the wedding of the century, you need more than one day.
While official wedding festivities are said to be getting underway Tuesday, June 24, Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez unofficially got the party started with a lavish birthday celebration for Sanchez’ 19-year-old son Evan Sunday, June 22.
Page Six showed pictures of a “foam party” aboard Bezos’ $500 million super yacht Koru.Â
While Page Six didn’t specify an exact location, it did say the yacht is currently “off the coast of Europe.”
The British newspaper The Daily Mail posted a video of the party on its Instagram account. It shows both Bezos and Sanchez covered in suds. Evan and his friends are also covered in foam, seen jumping off the deck of the yacht into the sea.
Wedding Itself Is Expected to Happen This Weekend In Venice
Bloomberg currently lists the 61-year-old billionaire as having a net worth of $230 billion.
And Jeff Bezos seems happy to dip into that for the coupleâs wedding weekend.
According to Page Six, the mayor of Venice, Luigi Brugnaro, has confirmed that the wedding of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez will happen there. Brugnaro said, âWe are mutually working and supporting the organizers, to ensure that the event will be absolutely respectful of the fragility and uniqueness of the city.â
Nevertheless, the wedding is expected to take over Venice. In an Instagram post, Visit Italy wrote, “Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez are set to marry in Venice from June 24 to 26, 2025. Reports indicate that the couple has reserved nearly all of the cityâs water taxis and several luxury hotels to accommodate their guests.”
Bezos-Sanchez Wedding Features A-List Guest List
Venice is expected to fill up with the world’s most high-profile celebrities as events get underway.
As you might expect for the “wedding of the century,” the Bezos-Sanchez guest list is nothing short of A-list.
According to TMZ and the Daily Mail, media mogul Oprah Winfrey got a coveted invite, as did her best friend Gayle King. Leonardo DiCaprio and Eva Longoria made the cut, as did Orlando Bloom and his fiancée, pop star Katy Perry.
Movie producer Brian Glazer, and singers Barbra Streisand and Jewel are also expected to be on hand.
Fellow tycoon Bill Gates made the cut. So did media mogul Barry Diller and his wife, fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg.
Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour has an invitation in hand. She’s said to have lobbied for exclusive coverage rights for Vogue.
Queen Rania Al Abdullah of Jordan received an invitation. As did President Donald Trump, daughter Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner, his brother Joshua and wife Karlie Kloss.
And reality stars Kim Kardashian and her momager, Kris Jenner got invites to both the wedding. They were also a part of an extravagant bachelorette party in Paris several weeks ago.
