Although they’re in the midst of divorce proceedings, Affleck, 52, and Lopez, 55, could embark on yet another Bennifer era in the future, a source told <a href=”https://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/ben-affleck-and-jennifer-lopez-proceeding-with-divorce-amid-reunion/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Us Weekly</a>, noting there’s “a small chance” of it happening. </p>
<p id=”par-3_51″>“J.Lo has stayed over at Ben’s place a couple [of] times,” they said. “When it’s good, it’s really good. But when it’s bad, it’s really bad—and things are so good when they are friends. If things are better between them because they’re separated, that’s a reason the divorce would go through.”</p>

(Both have children from previous <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/jennifer-garner-doubts-working-ben-affleck-married.html/”>mariages to Jennifer Garner</a> and Marc Anthony, respectively.) The two were photographed making their way inside the Beverly Hills Hotel, where they had lunch at the Polo Lounge. </p>
<p id=”par-5_34″>That outing, for which the two reportedly sat at a table separate from their kids and any other time they get together as a family, reminds them of the good things in their marriage. </p>
<p id=”par-6_43″>“There’s still a lot of love between them, but the divorce is still going forward,” a source said. “When they’re together as a family and see the kids together, it reminds them of how good they are as a team and what’s important.” </p>
<p id=”par-7_28″>“They both know they will be in each other’s lives because of the kids and are remaining friendly. But the divorce is still happening,” a second source added. </p>
<p id=”par-8_47″>The lunch also <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/ben-afflecks-brunch-pda-jennifer-lopez-not-affect-divorce-plans-sources-reveal.html/”>included a public display of affection</a>, or PDA. “Once they were together, [Affleck] could not keep his hands off,” an insider told <a href=”https://pagesix.com/2024/09/16/celebrity-news/ben-affleck-couldnt-keep-his-hands-off-jennifer-lopez/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Page Six</a>. “They have always had a lot of sexual chemistry. That was not planned. They are still attracted to one another.” </p>
<p id=”par-9_23″>The pair’s appearance came just weeks after Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck on Aug. 20, 2024, two years after their Georgia nuptials. </p>

<p id=”par-10_40″>Despite being reminded of how good they are together, problems still remain for J. Lo and Affleck. The source claimed that their polarizing day-to-day lives caused “a lot” of conflict in their marriage, and that’s still very much the case. </p>
<p id=”par-11_24″>“A lot of their issues stemmed from lifestyle differences,” they said. “They are just on completely different schedules—and nothing has changed [since the split].” </p>
<p id=”par-12_27″>Lopez and Affleck rekindled their romance in 2021, 17 years after they called it quits in the original Bennifer era, before getting engaged and married in 2022. </p>
