Jeremy Clarkson has offered up two tickets to the World Cup game tonight, saving a lucky fan thousands of pounds.
No, it’s not an advert for a random brand. Instead, The Clarkson’s Farm star is just giving away tickets to the England match against Ghana at Boston Stadium.
His generous offer comes weeks after the presenter revealed he had been diagnosed with ‘aggressive’ prostate cancer.
Thankfully, Clarkson, 66, is officially in remission and isn’t ditching the game but instead has some spare tickets.
‘I have two tickets for the England game in Boston this afternoon. Anyone want them?,’ he posted on X.
The post quickly gained over half a million views on the platform with fans eagerly accepting the tickets.
Due to the interest, Clarkson then clarified: ‘I’m in Boston and I have these 2 spare tickets. To get them, you need to be in Boston too.’
It’s currently unclear how he plans to get the tickets to whichever fans he chooses; maybe it’ll be an old-school meet-up with the star.
Days ago, he declared himself ‘the world’s luckiest man’ after a follow-up Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) test two months ago showed no indication of cancer, meaning he is in remission.
He added: ‘It was an aggressive type of cancer. It could have spread, it could have gone into the pancreas, it could have gone anywhere, and that would have been trouble.
‘This is why I have to say to everybody who’s reading this, please, please, please go and get checked. It’s not uncomfortable, it’s not undignified. And it’s a no-brainer.
‘I did, and that’s why I’m sitting here talking to you 11 months down the line. I’ve seen so many people die of cancer. It doesn’t bear thinking about what it must be like to live knowing that an illness is going to kill you.’
The details of his diagnosis aired in the final episodes of Clarkson’s Farm, which he warned would be a ‘difficult watch’ for some viewers.
The Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? host will still needs regular blood tests and monitoring, but is remaining positive and hopeful the cancer will not return.
