
John Stamos has remained close with his âFull Houseâ co-stars, and they are his dear friends. The “General Hospital” alum is opening up about his friendship with the late Bob Saget and has shared good news about Dave Coulier‘s cancer.
John Stamos Shares Good News About Dave Coulierâs Health
In November 2024, Dave Coulier announced that he had been diagnosed with stage III non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and Stamos wanted to be there for his friend. âDave and I talk a lot,â Stamos told Us Weekly in an interview published on August 20. âYou know, we lost Bob [Saget], and I couldnât bear losing Dave, so Iâve been with him a lot during this cancer journey of his.â
Stamos commented on the good news, sharing that his friend is â100 percent back to Dave.â He continued, âItâs great to see that the treatments work and itâs great to see him out there talking about it, to help other people that are going through the same thing.â
Coulierâs decision to speak about his cancer and the subsequent treatments has helped to raise awareness.
John Stamos Comments on Bob Sagetâs Passing
Stamos has mourned the tragic loss of their beloved friend, Bob Saget. Saget died on January 9, 2022, as a result of head trauma. He was 65.
Stamos has reflected on Saget and how he was the glue in the friendship between the “Full House” stars, including Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, Dave Coulier, Scott Weinger, Lori Loughlin, and Andrea Barber, who were all on a group text chat. Stamos told Us Weekly that Saget was âalways the connector,â adding, âit took us a long time to realize that Bob wasnât on there. I still canât believe that heâs gone. You just gotta love people when theyâre around.â
Stamos has shared his feelings about Sagetâs death on multiple occasions, including on Instagram. In a heartfelt tribute posted on January 11, 2022, the âGeneral Hospitalâ alum shared a photo of himself and Saget. âI’m not ready to accept that he’s gone – I’m not going to say goodbye yet,â he wrote. âI’m going to imagine him out there, still on the road, doing what he loves with all his heart and humor.â
He ended the message with a hopeful thought. âI know in my heart he’s smiling, still hearing the laughter from a few hours before,â Stamos wrote. âI’m just not ready to say goodbye yet. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe.â
