John Travolta Shares Rare Video of Son Ben Hiking in Norway

John Travolta

Actor John Travolta recently treated fans to a glimpse of his family’s winter adventure abroad, posting a heartwarming video of his youngest son Benjamin “Ben” Travolta, 14, during a hike in Norway’s scenic, snow-covered mountains.

In the clip, set to Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell’s classic “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” Ben sports a white winter coat and stands proudly at the summit, taking in the sweeping view while his dad captures the moment.

Travolta, 71, simply captioned the Tuesday, Nov. 11 post: “Ain’t no mountain high enough for my son Ben. Love from Norway,” underscoring his pride and the father-son bond in the dramatic setting.

The post quickly drew comments from family and followers alike, including a heart eyes emoji from daughter Ella Bleu in the replies.

A Moment of Growth & Presence

For Travolta—who has kept much of his private life with his children out of the spotlight—the video represents a rare public update on his younger son.

Ben is the youngest child of Travolta and the late Kelly Preston, who died of breast cancer in 2020 at age 57.

His older sister, Ella Bleu, is 25, and the family still carries the memory of Travolta’s eldest son, Jett, who died at 16 in 2009.

The Norway hike also mirrors a larger theme in Travolta’s recent posts: using outdoor adventures as moments for connection, presence and healing.

Travolta has, in recent years, shared more understated snapshots of family life, alternating from red-carpet glamour to quiet, meaningful experiences.

While the “Grease” actor shared a sweet moment with his son, he is set to share the screen with his daughter in the upcoming survival thriller “Black Tides.”

Fans React with Fondness

Responses to the clip poured in from fans who celebrated Ben’s journey and Travolta’s thoughtful sharing.

One user wrote: “Incredible. You’re doing an amazing job raising those kids. I’m sure Kelly would be thrilled and proud.”

Another added, “Wow! Ben’s all grown up. What an amazing view.”

One noted how they saw a resemblance to Preston. “Beautiful. Ben looks all like mama.”

The timing of the post, just days before Ben’s birthday on Nov. 24, made it even more meaningful.

Last year, Travolta shared a sweet image of Ben on his birthday as the family’s dog licked his face.

“Happy birthday my Ben,” he wrote. “Your dad loves you! And so does Peanut!”

Travolta has been know to share touching moments with fans. In early October, he shared a photo of his late wife and added a song he recorded for her.

“I recorded this song for Kelly and I want to share it with you all on her birthday. Happy birthday Kelly, we love you. -John, Ella and Ben,” he wrote.
