During a recent public outing, fans couldn’t help but notice how much Ella Bleu Travolta resembled her mother.
John Travolta & Ella Bleu Attended the Cannes Film Festival Together
The Travolta family faced tremendous heartbreak when their oldest child, Jett, passed away in 2009. Losing Kelly Preston in 2020 absolutely shattered the family, but also brought the surviving members closer together.
Today, John Travolta is incredibly close with both Benjamin and Ella. His daughter even accompanied him to the Cannes Film Festival this year. The actor sported a distinguished new look, including a white beret. However, it was Ella Bleu who truly captured fans’ attention.
The pair flew into France in a plane that the “Grease” star piloted himself. Travolta’s film, “Propeller One-Way Night Coach,” made its debut at the festival. He directed and narrated the project while Ella Bleu starred as a flight attendant named Doris.
On Instagram, the 72-year-old shared several photos of himself and Ella on the red carpet and enjoying themselves. Fans couldn’t believe how much the 26-year-old resembled the late Kelly Preston.
“I see so much of Kelly in Ella â¤ï¸ simply beautiful. Youâre looking very dapper as well Mr. John Travolta,” one fan wrote in the comments.
“Ella is beautiful. She looks like her mom â¥ï¸” another noted.
The Director Embraces His New Look
John Travolta’s beret and glasses sparked quite a bit of conversation online. Recently, the director spoke on the matter, noting that he wanted to pay homage to the classic directors who came before him.
âThe old school directors wore berets and glasses. And I thought, thatâs what Iâm doing,â the 72-year-old recently told CNN.
On top of that, Travolta wanted to ensure he remembered the 2026 Cannes Film Festival.
“Iâve been around for over 50 years doing movies, but I canât tell, when I look back, the difference between the events,â he explained to the outlet. “And I said, ‘Iâm a director this time. Youâre an actor, play the part of a director. Look like an old school director.’”
John Travolta kept the style going when he and Ella Bleu attended the “Propeller One-Way Night Coach” screening at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. He chose a black beret for the occasion, while his daughter chose a stunning white dress with blue flowers and an adorable bow at her waist. The father-daughter duo was photographed posing arm-in-arm.
