Amber Heard is making a quiet but powerful return to acting, teaming up with a talented ensemble for her first theater role in years. According to People, the 39-year-old actress made a rare appearance in a new Vogue photo shoot. Heard was a part of the promotions for the Williamstown Theatre Festival in Massachusetts, where sheâll star in “Spirit of the People” this summer.
Shot by photographers Hunter Abrams and Sam Lee, the photos show Heard smiling in nature with her.
Also present were her fellow actors, including Pamela Anderson, Whitney Peak, William Jackson Harper, & Chris Messina.

In one photo, she posed alongside Harris with the caption âtheatre era.â In another, she posted a candid prep shot with the note, âWork in progress.â

The theater comeback comes just months after Heard quietly announced the birth of her twins, daughter Agnes & son Ocean, on May 11.
âWhen I had my first baby girl, Oonagh, four years ago, my world changed forever. I thought I couldnât possibly burst with more joy,â Heard shared on Instagram.
âWell, now I am bursting times three!!! Becoming a mother by myself and on my own terms, despite my own fertility challenges has been the most humbling experience of my life.â
âI am eternally grateful that I was able to choose this responsibly and thoughtfully,â she added.

Amber Heardâs quiet return to the spotlight comes three years after her highly publicized courtroom clash with ex-husband Johnny Depp. The “Stand” actress, now 39, had stepped back from the public eye after the six-week defamation trial in which she was found liable for defaming Depp. The case was eventually settled in December 2022.
After becoming a lightning rod for public opinion during the trial, Heard chose to shift her focus inward, prioritizing her family life with daughter Oonagh Paige, 4, and newborn twins, Ocean & Agnes.
âI think no matter what, it will mean something,â Heard said of what she might one day share with her children about the experience. âI did the right thing. I did everything I could to stand up for myself and the truth.â
Depp, meanwhile, recently told People in June that he felt like a âsuckerâ for falling in love with Heard, having grown up in what he described as a loveless home. With the courtroom chapter behind her, Heard has since relocated to Madrid with Oonagh, leaving behind the noise and beginning again in a new environment focused on peace, privacy, & motherhood.
