Actors Josh Dallas and Ginnifer Goodwin treated fans to a rare family moment as their sons, Oliver (11) and Hugo (9), accompanied them to the Thursday, Nov. 13 premiere of âZootopia 2ââand marked their first-ever appearance on the red carpet.
The family is known for keeping their private life out of the spotlight, stepped into the flashbulbs together, showcasing a united front ahead of the major Disney release.
The photo-op was styled for success: Goodwin dazzled in a cream, floor-length gown adorned with sparkly floral details, while Dallas opted for a beige suit that perfectly complemented the familyâs look.
Their boys wore coordinated black suits and square-framed glasses, matching each other and impressing with poise unusual for such a debut.
The Couple Remains Private
Though the couple married in April 2014 and welcomed Oliver in May of that year, followed by Hugo in June 2016, the family has consistently avoided large-scale public appearances with their children.
Goodwin explained that the boys had persuaded them to attend this premiere while speaking with E! News.
âWe have never let our children go to Hollywood anything,â she told the outlet. âWeâre very private. We heart out their faces on social media.â
“We’ve explained to them we’re still not gonna be posting about them and they’re not allowed to Google themselves,” she continued. “And then they say, but their friends are going to, and I’m like, ‘That’s fine. We’re not their parents.’”
Goodwin explained how her children made valid points on why they should be allowed to attended the premiere.
âWe said, âYouâre right.â This is a family thing for us, âZootopia.ââ
It really is a family affair, as both Dallas and Goodwin are in the film. Dallas voices the role of Frantic Pig, while Goodwin lends her voice to the lovable rabbit Judy Hopps.
Dallas Praises Goodwin
Dallas has long spoken highly of Goodwinâs role as a mother.
He gushed to PEOPLE in December of 2020 about how great Goodwin is.
âItâs extraordinary because she is, literally, the greatest mother that I know,â he told the outlet.
He continued to express how happy he is being in a relationship with Goodwin and raising children.
âItâs extraordinary to have your partner, who youâve known all this time, blossom into this woman ⦠who is so nurturing, so caring and just so cool. Sheâs so cool and sheâs a cool mom. Itâs great,â Dallas added.
