Julia Roberts revealed what she wants her next project to be now that her adult kids have moved out. “I think I’d like to do another play. Now that my kids are out of the house, I think that I could devote that kind of laser focus again to something like that because [that’s] such a different kind of commitment to make than a film,” she told People on October 8.
Roberts continued, “So, I think that would be something that I would look forward to.”
The “Pretty Woman” star shares 20-year-old twins, Hazel and Phinnaeus, with her husband, Danny Moder. They also share their son, Henry (18)
Roberts Is Having Fun as an Empty Nester
Julia Roberts opened up about her life as an empty nester during an October 2nd appearance on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”
When Stephen Colbert asked how it was having the kids out of the house, Roberts joked, “I don’t know if sobbing now is the best jumping-off point to our interview.”
“What’s the fun part? It does get fun,” the host said. Roberts answered, “It’s all fun, honestly. It’s also delicious.”
She continued, “I know everyone thinks their kids are great. I think my kids are great, and I just love hanging out with them and spending time with them. And fortunately, we have had lots of visits along the way of this empty nest.”
Roberts’ Son Henry Shares Her Iconic Fashion Taste
During an Extra interview on September 30 with her “After the Hunt” co-stars, Roberts went down memory lane with a picture of her iconic 1990 Golden Globes Armani suit.
Ayo Edebiri copied the famous look for an event, citing Roberts as her inspiration. “I’m going to bring it to work tomorrow, and I want you to put it on,” the “Mona Lisa Smile” star told her castmate.
Roberts revealed that she still has the Armani suit and that her son, Henry, wore it recently. She then gave the backstory behind the look.
“I went into the Armani store and, as I recall, downstairs is women’s clothing. And I went upstairs to the men’s department. I remember I put the suit on, and I loved it. It was too big in the waist, and I just remember the [salesman] saying, ‘Let me get the tailor,’” she shared.
She recalled being shocked that a tailor was on hand, and laughed, “I was very impressed. I was very taken with myself.”
