Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez are officially husband and wife! According to a report in People, Amazon founder, 61, and the Emmy-winning journalist, 55, tied the knot on Friday, June 27.
The couple exchanged their vows in a black-tie ceremony on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice, Italy.

The multi-day celebration brought together the coupleâs closest family and friends, and a star-studded guest list.
A Guest List Full of A-Listers
Whoâs who of Hollywood and high society attended the glamorous festivities.
Guests included Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King, Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Leonardo DiCaprio, Orlando Bloom, Usher, Karlie Kloss, and Tom Brady.
Also in attendance were Queen Rania of Jordan, Bill Gates and his partner Paula Hurd, François-Henri Pinault, and fashion icons like Diane von Fürstenberg, Domenico Dolce, and Tommy Hilfiger.
A Romantic Start to the Ceremony
According to People, the wedding began with a touching performance of Elvis Presleyâs âCanât Help Falling in Love,â sung by Matteo Bocelli, which was met with cheers from the guests.
Before arriving at the venue, Bezos and Sánchez were seen leaving the Aman Hotel separately. The bride wore a retro-inspired white suit with a silk headscarf, while Bezos looked sharp in a black tuxedo and aviator sunglasses. Vogue shared official pictures from the wedding.
A Glamorous Arrival and Venetian Welcome
The coupleâs wedding weekend began on Wednesday, June 25, when they were photographed arriving in Venice via helicopter, walking hand-in-hand and smiling.
A welcome party was hosted on Thursday night, June 26, at a cloister near the Madonna dell’Orto church. According to People, Guests enjoyed an authentic taste of Italy â pizza made on-site by a famous Neapolitan chef, arancini, fried zucchini flowers, octopus, and lemon cakes.
A Last-Minute Change of Plans
Initially, the ceremony was set to take place at Scuola Grande della Misericordia on Saturday, June 28. However, due to ongoing local protests, the couple had to move venues at the last minute to ensure safety and privacy.
A Thoughtful Gift to the City of Venice
According to the Associated Press, in a gesture of appreciation, Bezos and Sánchez highlighted Veniceâs artisanal culture by sourcing nearly 80% of their wedding provisions from local vendors.
That includes pastry shop Rosa Salva and glassmakers at Laguna B. Instead of wedding gifts, guests were encouraged to donate to three local charities: the UNESCO Venice Office, CORILA, and Venice International University.
On their invitation, the couple wrote: “This magical place has gifted us unforgettable memories. Our hope is that through these efforts and by you joining us, Venice will continue to inspire wonder for generations to come.”
Their Love Story Began With a Working Relationship
News of Bezos and Sánchezâs relationship first emerged in January 2019, shortly after Bezos announced his divorce from MacKenzie Scott. Sánchez was also separating from her then-husband, Patrick Whitesell.
Sources previously told people the couple began working together on projects before gradually developing romantic feelings.
In January 2023, Sánchez opened up about their relationship in WSJ Magazine, saying:
âWe love to be together and we love to work together.” She also shared a side of Bezos the public rarely sees: “He’s really funny. He makes me laugh all the time. He can be goofy.”
The couple got engaged in May 2023 during a romantic getaway to the South of France. Sánchez was spotted wearing a dazzling ring while vacationing aboard Bezosâs superyacht, Koru.
