Justin Theroux is opening up about fatherhood for the first time, sharing just how much his life has changed since welcoming his baby boy with wife Nicole Brydon Bloom.
The âThe Devil Wears Prada 2â star spoke at the filmâs New York City premiere on April 20, just days after the couple announced their sonâs arrival, and made it clear he is fully embracing this new chapter. âIâm in heaven,â Theroux told E! News. âItâs so hard to even encapsulate what it feels like.âÂ
He went on to describe the experience as âthe most wonderful thing that’s ever happened to me,â adding, âI canât think of anything that tops it.â
Even while stepping out for the red carpet, Theroux admitted his focus was still very much at home. âSoon as the credits roll, Iâm out,â he joked, explaining that he and Bloom were eager to get back to their newborn.
A New Chapter Begins for the Couple
Theroux and Bloom, who married in March 2025, made their first public appearance as new parents at the premiere. The couple arrived together for a rare date night, with Theroux wearing a navy double-breasted suit and Bloom opting for a sleek black halter dress, according to Just Jared.
Their baby news was first shared on April 18 in a joint Instagram post. âHeâs here ðï¸ we are so in love,â they wrote alongside a black-and-white photo of their newborn resting on Therouxâs chest, per Just Jared.
Bloom previously revealed that the pregnancy came as a surprise, sharing during a March appearance on âTodayâ that, âWe werenât entirely planning it,â but that they were still âexcited to start a family,â according to E! News.
She also recalled the moment she told Theroux, joking about his reaction. âI was like, âWell, I can walk you through it⦠it was a team effort.ââ
Support and a Shift in Priorities
As Theroux steps into fatherhood, the moment has also drawn attention from those in his past. Jennifer Aniston, his ex-wife, quietly showed support by âlikingâ the coupleâs baby announcement on Instagram, per earlier report. The two were married from 2015 to 2018 and have remained on friendly terms.
Theroux has previously spoken positively about their relationship, saying, âShe is still very dear to me⦠I feel protective,â according to prior interviews.
Meanwhile, Theroux also took a moment to reflect on his work, including filming âThe Devil Wears Prada 2.â He praised co-star Emily Blunt, calling her âa very deeply funny womanâ and adding, âShe just makes me giggle,â per to E! News.
Still, it is clear that his priorities have shifted. While he continues promoting the highly anticipated sequel, his focus remains on his growing family.
As Theroux put it, âItâs the most wonderful thing that’s ever happened to me.â
