Kamie Crawford has revealed the one thing she simply must have on her upcoming wedding day â and it’s very, very sweet.
The model, beauty queen, and former co-host of MTV’s reality-based documentary television series “Catfish: The TV Show” got engaged to her longtime partner on September 27 after five years of dating.
Crawford, 33, spoke to People amidst the planning for her big day.
All Kamie Crawford Needs on Her Wedding Day Is Her Mom
GettyIn her conversation with People, which took place at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards at The Plaza Hotel in New York City on Tuesday, November 4, Kamie Crawford revealed the only thing she needs on her wedding day is her mom, Carla Crawford.
Crawford told the publication, “Honestly, I think my biggest, greatest weapon is gonna be my mom. I’ve been saying if she could be my matron of honor for my wedding, that would be perfect because she just knows, she has an eye.”
In the same conversation, Crawford revealed that she’d already been touring potential wedding venues with her mom, highlighting the fact that she’s playing a major part in the planning of her daughter’s big day.
Crawford Says Her ‘Bridal Era’ Has Been ‘Insane’ So Far
GettyKamie Crawford announced her engagement in an Instagram post on September 28. While the name of her husband-to-be â who she refers to online as “Wizard Kelly” â has not yet been released, she says the couple are looking at a “Fall 2026” date for their wedding, and that she is “so excited” to tie the knot.
She also said, “I didn’t realize how insane the bridal era is. Like, I posted about getting engaged and next thing I knew â literally within an hour â I had bridal people in my inbox hitting me up, offering me dresses. And I feel so like, oh my God, they’re gonna make this easy for me.”
Crawford also admitted to People that, while she was undoubtedly “surprised” when her now-fiancé “Wizard Kelly” proposed, she “had a feeling” that they would be getting engaged this year.
The Miss Teen USA 2010 winner said, “I was hyperventilating when he got down but I was not surprised that I didn’t have my roots done or my nails done. I was prepared, and at the same time⦠not prepared.”
We wish bride-to-be Kamie Crawford and “Wizard Kelly” all the very best for their future together â and we hope momma Crawford is as much of a help in choosing a venue and supporting her on the day as Kamie hopes (and we’re sure she will be).
