<p id=”par-1_12″>Kate Gosselin is giving people a look at her life post-<a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/reality-tv”>reality TV</a>. </p>
<p id=”par-2_28″>In a recent <a href=”https://www.tiktok.com/@kate.gosselin/video/7536938060987125022″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>TikTok</a> video, the former <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/controversial-reality-star-kate-gosselin-plotting-return-tv.html/”><em>Jon & Kate Plus 8 </em>star</a> loaded the dishwasher after a “very busy” day as a pediatric home health care nurse. </p>
<p id=”par-3_22″>“It was another 12 hour day,” the mom of eight said as she recapped all the activities she’d done with her patient. </p>
<p id=”par-4_38″>“And so now I work again tomorrow, so I have my dishes loaded into the dishwasher, my dishwasher running, and so I can go to bed and get up early and do it all over again,” she said.</p>

<p id=”par-5_75″>Some commenters were surprised that Kate was still working given her years on TLC. <em>Jon & Kate Plus 8 </em>(later renamed <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/collin-gosselin-accuses-mom-kate-gosselin-abuse-finally-found-voice.html/”><em>Kate Plus 8</em></a><em> </em>after her 2009 divorce from Jon Gosselin) aired from 2007 to 2017. She also competed on <em>Dancing With the Stars, </em>and appeared on <em>Celebrity Wife Swap </em>and the first season of <em>Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test. </em>She’s also written multiple books, including <em>Multiple Blessings </em>and <em>I Just Want You to Know. </em></p>
<p id=”par-6_22″>“What happened with all the income from the show? I hate that you are having to work 12-hour shifts,” one person asked.</p>
<p id=”par-7_17″>Kate hinted that she’d be better off financially if it weren’t for her expensive divorce from Jon. </p>
<p id=”par-8_74″>“Honestly? Providing for 8 kids, college funds which I am proud to say covered all of their college and more and LAWYERS. Sickening but I was [dragged] into court constantly and that costs A TON. Sad bc my kids could have a lot more saved and I could have a retirement saved if it weren’t for lawyers :(. It’s okay. I’m helping other families and I feel needed and I enjoy helping,” she wrote.</p>

<p id=”par-10_30″>“Raised and supported 8 kids alone and now they have enough college money to go to college and beyond. I achieved my goal but have no personal retirement,” she shared. </p>
<p id=”par-11_24″>“Reality tv doesn’t pay as well as it should when you have to provide for 8 kids on your own,” she told another follower. </p>
<p id=”par-12_68″>Kate was granted custody of her and Jon’s twins, Mady and Cara, and sextuplets, Aaden, Alexis, Collin, Hannah, Joel, and Leah, <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/why-did-jon-and-kate-gosselin-divorce.html/”>after their divorce</a>. In 2018, Jon received custody of Collin, then 14, after he was discharged from a residential treatment program for children of special needs. The same year, his daughter Hannah also went to live with her father. Collin has since <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/collin-gosselin-moving-forward-shocking-abuse-allegations-against-mom-kate-gosselin-dad-jon-gosselin-says.html/”>accused his mother of abuse</a>. </p>
