Kathy Griffin is proving that confidence never ages. The comedian, 65, turned heads and lifted spirits on Tuesday, November 4, when she appeared on Sherri wearing a tiny bikini paired with gold heels, and of course, her signature sense of humor.
To the delight of the cheering audience, the birthday girl strutted onto the stage as host Sherri Shepherd, 58, gasped, âOh. My. God.â Griffin laughed and replied, âI have no shame,â before dancing and playfully shaking her hips while the crowd erupted in applause.
After her grand entrance, Griffin slipped into a teal dress to sit down for her interview, proudly reminding viewers that she had just turned 65 and was embracing every moment of it.
Reflecting on Life, Aging & Confidence
Earlier that day, Griffin shared a reflective Instagram post in honor of her milestone birthday. Alongside a smiling selfie and the Beach Boysâ song “Wouldnât It Be Nice,” she revealed her plans for a âbirthday flash mob party,â filming episodes for her YouTube show, and, of course, her Sherri appearance.
âI still feel like Iâm 25,â she wrote, embracing her signature humor and youthful spirit. The post quickly drew love from fans who praised her confidence and openness about aging.
Griffin Opens Up About Plastic Surgery Journey
Griffinâs fearless confidence also shines through in how openly she talks about cosmetic surgery. In August, she revealed on her Talk Your Head Off podcast that she had undergone her third facelift.
âItâs my third,â she said with a laugh. âI know thatâs so vain! Iâm so vain for no reason. No one has ever gone to a Kathy Griffin show to see her beautiful, youthful face.â She credited Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Ben Talei for performing the procedure, as per People.
Griffin explained that the latest round of work included an upper eye lift, a âcat eye stitch,â and a small chin procedure.
âThereâs a stitch in my chin, which youâre probably not going to see unless youâre under me, but not in that way,â she joked. Still, she admitted recovery hasnât been simple. âIâm going to be honest. Itâs painful,â she said. âSo these bitches that are like, âItâs like getting a tooth filled! Itâs nothing!â No, itâs painful.â
A New Chapter After Divorce & Health Battles
Griffin has also weathered major life changes in recent years. In October, she spoke with People about her 2023 divorce from marketing executive Randy Bick, whom she was married to for three years.
âMy divorce took me out,â Griffin admitted. âIâm not going to lie. Some people are like, âI was glad I got rid of them, and Iâve never felt better.â I was down for the count. It was harder than cancer.â
A lung cancer survivor, Griffin was referring to her 2021 diagnosis of stage 1 lung cancer. After undergoing surgery to remove part of her left lung, she experienced temporary vocal cord paralysis but later regained her voice following additional treatment.
