After weeks of internet detectives analysing every strand of her husband’s hair, Katie Price has finally addressed the question nobody expected to dominate her summer.
Yes, Lee Andrews wants a hair transplant. No, that’s apparently not what happened.
The former glamour model used the latest episode of The Katie Price Show podcast to tackle the increasingly bizarre speculation surrounding her husband’s ever-changing hairstyle, insisting the rumours have spiralled well beyond reality.
‘So these headlines about Lee,’ Katie began. ‘First of all, of course, he didn’t go to Turkey, he was missing, then was in prison, he’s had an ordeal.’
The TV personality added that while the full story behind Andrews’ disappearance and subsequent imprisonment in Dubai isn’t hers to tell, she expects he will eventually speak about it himself.
‘In terms of what happened, I’m sure one day he’ll talk about it,’ she said. Then she turned to the topic that has somehow become almost as big a talking point as his legal troubles.
‘He does want a hair transplant, and he will get a hair transplant, so that is that.’
Price insisted there was little more to say, despite social media becoming obsessed with Andrews’ fuller-looking head of hair after he resurfaced online following his release from prison.
‘There’s not really anything to say about his hair,’ she said. ‘But if people want to pick on his hair…’
Katie then questioned why cosmetic procedures for men continue to attract so much attention.
‘Why is it when men, in general, have surgery, hair transplants, or anything like that, no one says anything, but when us women do, “Oh, it’s this, it’s that”? Who cares if you’re bettering yourself with anything?’
The former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! contestant, who has always been open about her own cosmetic surgery, argued that hair restoration should be treated no differently.
‘When I go to Turkey, the amount of men that have hair transplants on the plane coming back,’ she said.
‘So what if people want to look better for themselves? I’m all for it, same as I am for women.’

She even compared the treatment to something millions of women already use without attracting nearly as much discussion. ‘I have hair extensions. What’s wrong with that? Most girls have hair extensions. No one goes on about having fake hair put in for hair extensions.’
The comments come after weeks of speculation about Andrews’ appearance.
When Katie’s husband reappeared on social media following his release from prison in Dubai, many followers were less interested in hearing about his dramatic disappearance than trying to work out what had happened to his hair.
Some suggested he’d undergone a hair transplant in secret, while others wondered whether he was wearing a wig or hairpiece. The rumours intensified after claims emerged that Andrews had allegedly visited a Dubai salon to enquire about a permanent wig before deciding not to proceed.
Even Katie’s own sister, Sophie Price, weighed in during an earlier episode of the podcast.
Asked what she thought of Andrews’ hairstyle, Sophie didn’t hold back. ‘No, it’s not my vibe,’ she said.
Katie attempted to defend her husband by suggesting shorter hairstyles don’t suit everyone, but Sophie remained unconvinced, branding the look ‘a ridiculous, f***ing liberty.’
Now, Katie appears keen to draw a line under the follicular frenzy.
The answer, according to her, is simple: Lee hasn’t had a hair transplant yet. He just plans to.
