Katie Price has been criticised by the director of a film she appeared in, after failing to promote the action comedy when it was released this year.
Director Michael Head has claimed that the former glamour model, 48, ‘begged’ for the part in Jackie the Stripper, which sees Price play a woman named Lisa, in a film that fuses Jack the Ripper with the world of strip clubs.
The action comedy was released last month, but Price reportedly snubbed the film and did not attend the July premiere at Leicester Square.
She is also said to have skipped promotional duties this week, as the film hit Amazon Prime, where it is available to buy or rent.
Director Head has labelled her behaviour ‘disgusting’ to the Daily Mail, adding of the film: ‘This is about female empowerment. This is about all the things that we’re making a film for. And Katie’s just snubbed it, which is not really what’s done.’
His publicist also told the publication: ‘Michael has reached out to all the cast to publicise the release of the film on Amazon and all the cast have got involved in promoting Jackie the Stripper, apart from Katie Price.’
Metro contacted Katie Price’s representative for comment; they have told the Mail that she was not required for the film promotion.
The publication reported that, four days before the premiere, it had been confirmed by Price’s management that she would be in attendance.
Her representatives declined to tell the publication why she did not attend, but she was reported to have been back in Dubai two days before the premiere.
A source told the publication: ‘No reason for her withdrawal has been provided other than her decision to remain abroad.

‘It is disappointing that Katie has cancelled her appearance at such short notice, particularly after her attendance had been confirmed on multiple occasions and publicly.
‘She even DM’d the director asking for her ticket for attendance on 6th May 2026.’
The film also stars Patsy Kensit, Kimberly Wyatt, TOWIE star Chloe Meadows and Jamie Lomas.
It comes amid an incredibly turbulent time in Price’s life, given the ongoing fallout from her Dubai-based husband Lee Andrew’s shock disappearance and imprisonment this summer.
The mum-of-five is said to be considering another boob job, because Andrews has left her ‘all over the place’ amid the continued mystery over his whereabouts.
